I always wanted a canteen.
One time I took an old nail polish remover bottle that was empty and filled it with water and drank from it.
I immediately tasted nail polish remover and spit it out. Bad Idea I guess.
I am lucky I didn't poison myself playing with my canteen.
This is hilarious!

I wanted glasses too. I took an old black "Austin Powers" looking pair of my dad's, popped out the lenses and would walk around wearing them. I guess I thought it looked "unique" and "trendy".
Little did I know I looked like a total lunatic dweeb.

I also was obssessed with wallets and change purses. I have many memories of old wallets that I had, I still have wayyy too many. I have no idea why I was so obssessed with them, esp when I had nothing to put in them.

I desperately wanted to go to sleep away camp after seeing Parent Trap and reading a bunch of girls at summe camp type books.
Never happened.
I also randomly wanted one of those old fashioned gumball machines you see in the service merchanidse catolog.

I don't remember a weird item that I wanted.
But, I remember that I was OBSESSED with the statue of liberty. I thought she was real. comes from those old dontate your coat commericals..give us your poor, your hungry..etc.
I wanted to be her when I grew up. I used to pose like her in pictures.

I also wanted Lemon Berbina ( sp?) perfume because Ma Ingles would flip out over it. Comes from watching too many episodes of Little House on the Praire.. does that sh%t even exist?
LOL...it DOES! My friend has Lemon Verbena hand cream that she uses (some might say) to a psychotic degree. And she too is obsessed with Little House.
