I obsessed over wanting a guitar.
I loved Rick Springfield and all things Rick, so I wanted a guitar like him.
Got the damn guitar for my 10th birthday then cried cause I realized a gift of a guitar for someone who doesn't play it or even want to play it - is a total crappy gift.

PAPER ! any type, color, thickness,and size. Loved it. My favorite aisle in Price Club (now Costco) was the office aisle!!

a retainer and braces (my friend came over one day with a retainer and i started crying lol)
to break a bone so i could get a cast
big boobs, i was always stuffing my shirt
and i never got any of those things

I always bit my nails and wanted long ones so bad I would put those sticky circle thingies for your loose leaf paper on my fingertips and pretend I had long nails.

I would take pieces of scotch tape and then get pizzed when I would get dirt underneath my 'nails'.

IDK Why... but I wanted My pet monster SOOOO BAD... And of course I got it and did nothing with it! lol
I was a little weird... lol...
I also played school and pretended that Paper bags from the supermarket were my students... I drew faces on them.

I always wanted a canopy bed...never got it though. Even when DH and I were looking for a bedroom set he refused to get a canopy bed or even a four poster bed...well maybe when I have children I can get them one (if it's sex appropriate) and be happy with that....lol
I also always wanted to wear glasses too- to this day I might need them though so I might still get that wish...lol
And I also was obsessed with cash registers.. I thought that having a real one would be really cool.

I wanted an imaginary friend. My brother had one. I actually remember sitting trying to dream one up...never got one.

I always wanted a middle name too! I used to be obsessed with the names Elizabeth and Teresa so I would lie and say one of those was my middle name, then I picked Teresa for my confirmation LOL
I always wanted a KEY! I begged my parents for a key to my house and they said no. It was pointless since it wasn't like I was allowed to be home by myself.
I used to get random keys and carry them around and just pretend that my room was my apartment and I needed the key to get in (wasnt allowed to get a real key for my room either LOL)

ever read that kids book "indian in the cupboard"?? its about a kid who has plastic toy indians and they all come alive and he has to hide them from his parents and feed them and everything? THATS what i wanted. i wanted my dolls to come alive so i could play with them. i believe on more than one occasion i snuck up little bits of my dinner to give to my barbies.
i was caught and told never to do that again...
