What are your DC's after-school activities?

Here is DD's schedule...
Every other Tuesday - Daisys
Friday - Gymnastics
Saturday - Soccer

I am debating whether or not to encourage her to do dance too? She is in 1st grade.

What activities are your kids doing?

DD is in K
Wednesdays - Daisy Scouts
Thursdays - Art class

I'm trying to get her to agree to piano. She refuses dance and any sports. "Mom, I'm just not a sporty kind of kid" But she'll run around our yard like a nut, go figure.

DS is in Pre-K
Thursdays - Art
Saturdays - Soccer

He really wants to take tennis lessons, but so far the ones I've found for his age are at times we have something else already scheduled.

Re: What are your DC's after-school activities?

We have very little going on in the Fall - I'm weird about the fact that I don't like their focus divided.

So swimming from October - December on Saturdays.

If they want to do sport clinics they start in February for baseball and lacrosse.

From April - June Robbie does baseball and Noah does lacrosse. Both are 2 day a week commitments - 1 weekday evening and one weekend day.

Re: What are your DC's after-school activities?

Nothing that I take them to after-school except being in an after-school program at their school until 5:30.

Saturdays:
DD in K has drama/sing
DD in 2nd has gymnastics

Sundays:
Both DD have Sunday school
DD in 2nd has swimming

That's enough!!

Both kids play travel soccer and have practice 2x per week and games on Saturdays. Religion is once per week. DS just decided he wanted to drop boy scouts so it frees up a day. If he changes his mind, he can pick it back up. While it is not an "outside" activity, both kids also have to (haha) practice their instruments every day. That doesn't always happen though.

G is in kindergarten and all she has is dance on thursday evenings. I cant really afford anything else. I would like her to have piano lessons, but they are expensive. I might just teach her myself since I can play. I also need to get Billy in an activity which I cant even afford right now.

DS is in preschool, they have extras that you can sign up for right after school. So he will be doing cooking/crafts, karate, and computers.

Dont feel like a slacker!!! Megan just started preschool and was having a ROUGH time. I wanted to start her in dance but I think I may wait another year. The expense on top of her going through severe separation anxiety, I just dont think she needs anything extra right now. I didnt start extra curricular activities until I was in Kindergarten..I am sure she will be fine!

Don't!! When she shows an interest in something and asks to participate then you'll know it's time. If she's happy and you're happy with no outside activities, why worry??

DD is in Pre-K. The only thing she is doing now is Karate class on Monday's. She may start a dance class in January.

DS is in 1st grade. Karate class on Monday, baseball once a week, and a chess club on Friday's starting in October. DH wants to look into cub scouts for him as well.
