No moisturizer is able to quench my skin. I have so much flaking going on like never before.Chat Icon My skin is very sensitive so I need something gentle. Thanks!

Hmm-I would hate to steer you in the wrong direction and you break out. I use Origins Never a Dull Moment to exfoliate, then a clay mask after.

Maybe switch cleaners & are you moisturizing & drinking water?

I recently started using cetaphil cleaner & a gardinaer (sp?) moisturizer & finally my skin is more balanced (not dry, not oily, & no breakouts)

I cleanse with cetaphil bar and moisturize every orning and night and still have dry patches. I am using the old school dramatically different moisturizer from Clinique and their All About The Eyes cream.

okay i really like kate somerville gentle exfoliant...you can get samples at sephora.

i would rec an overhaul. imo the cetaphil leaves a film and then you can really truly moisturize your face. have you tried cerave? very similar but a cleaner rinse.

maybe use an exfoliant every 2 days like the one i mentioned...cerave...and if you have sensitive skin...this is the tricky part. i would get a load of samples from sephora as well.

for my face lately i have been using either keihls lotion or l'occitane (last you can get a sample of at sephora too ) shea butter face cream.

i like getting lots of samples bc for me it takes a day or two to see how i will response to something new.

Thanks for the advice. I have used Cerave lotion but not face wash. Worth a try! Love getting samples. I tried the Clinique exfoliator tonight since my mom had a sample. I liked it. I'll see how my face is in the morning.

This is not really an exfoliater, but I am had good luck with witch hazel. I had very dry patchy spots on my hand it worked wonders, when nothing else would.

It removes residue & calms everything down. On my face I cleanse with cold cream first, and then use the witch hazel.

I really like the Clinique 7 Day Scrub. I use dramatically different lotion too. Only thing that does not make my face break out.

If I have really dry patches I use a little Aveeno on the area at night and let it soak in.

My friend just told me about a homemade exfoliator he makes:

Brown Sugar
Honey
Lemon
Almond Oil or Olive Oil

I developed these dry patches on my face after I had DS #1. I tried a million different creams.

Finally, I tried this: External Image

Triple Cream by the makers of Triple Paste. It was the ONLY thing that worked and was SO CHEAP!

I use an Oil of Olay cream everywhere else, and then the triple cream on the really dry skin.

HTH!

Triple Cream is my saving grace on my face. I even use it around my eyes. I put it on morning and night on all of the dry patches on my face (which also developed after I had my first son).

Instead of Oil of Olay, I use CeraVe face cream.

For face wash, I use Cetaphil. But like someone mentioned above, I feel like it leaves a film sometimes. For a good cleaning, I use Cetaphil and cotton makeup rounds and gently wash my face in a circular motion to loosen of any dirt or dry skin. I don't use the cotton rounds every day...that would be too harsh on my skin.
