Re: What do you consider a deal-breaker...
Being overly demanding of my time and attention.
Some friends just can't deal with the fact that I have other friends and a job and responsibilities that they don't have and if I don't drop EVERYTHING EVERY time they call and want to do something they get pi$$y.
We're adults now. Gotta learn to share.

I completely agree. I have a friend right now that flips her lid on me for the very reason!

LYING (or very important omissions) Stealing (I had a friend in h.s. who would borrow my stuff and never return it) Always wanting you to be there for them and not wanting to hear it when you need them to listen.

Re: What do you consider a deal-breaker...
I ended a friendship once because it was always all about her. It wasn't two-way, in any respect. ha-ha.

Re: What do you consider a deal-breaker...
All of the above plus, if you're there for someone day in and day out for whatever reason- b/c that's what friends do.. Then, it comes time for you to need support and they're SO not there for you. IMO- that's a one sided friendship, and one not worth making the effort for anymore...

When it is not equal. I have lost a very good friend because she expected me to go above and beyond but never did herself.

When you consider them "toxic" in your life.
You are whom you closely associate with. Always remember that.

Re: What do you consider a deal-breaker...
When that person stops considering you and your feeelings, whether it's in things they say to you (being mean, disrespectfull or inconsiderate) or their actions (or sometimes non actions).
And of course the obvious things like lying, going behind your back and the like.
