nothing really.

I prefer to drink heavily.

All kidding aside, on Sunday nights, we usually just straighten up the house, figure out what we need to accomplish for the week, sort laundry to be done, and just relax after 8:00. Chat Icon

batch cook breakfast (for DC's) and dinner for most of the week.

Iron and plan my work outfits for the week.

Food shopping is done very early Sunday morning.

complete all laundry and put it away (Then again, I do laundry every other day)

Do a complete straightening of the house. Deep cleaning is done by a cleaning crew.

plan out any errands, appts I'll need to do around DH's and DC's schedule. Check the calendar for the week.

Pack my bags and DC's daycare bag and leave them by the door.

I have more of a nightly checklist for everyday.

Same here, really.

I was just talking to my boss about this the other day, though and she said she makes all the meals for the week on Sunday.

She said doing that is a huge help during the week come dinner time b/c she just takes out that night's meal when she gets up in the morning and by the time she gets home from work in the evening it's defrosted.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but for those who make meals on sunday for the week.. what kind of stuff do you make? do you then Freeze or refrigerate.. I'd really like to do that but the only thing I come up with is meatloaf that will freeze nicely.Chat Icon

You can freeze any kind of pasta dish...such as baked ziti, stuffed shells, etc. I also do it with chicken or egg plant parm.

Re: What do you do on Sundays to get ready for the week or to make things easier?

I don't freeze the meals I cook on Sunday, I usually only make 2 things, which one is for Sunday dinner and probably leftovers on Monday and then the other is for Tuesday, like I did baked chick and bake mac n cheese for Sunday and Monday and then I have steak and rice n beans for Tuesday. It is fine, just like eating leftovers that's all... so much easier for me though.

LOL - us to, but I should really get organized on Sunday b/c I can barely get out the door with my DS on MOnday mornings. I know what I should do, but i am just too tired to do it.

I've been making chili and quiche as they freeze super well. Also, I will cut/marinade chicken then freeze it so all I have to do is throw it in the fridge in the morning and then in the oven in the evening.

Re: What do you do on Sundays to get ready for the week or to make things easier?

I get the coffee maker ready to go on at 6:15 am for DW and the Farberware pot, plugged into a timer, for me at 4am. I also set up lunches and set out the next day's attire (undies, socks, pants, shirt, jacket if necessary).
I actually do these things every night before a work day.

Re: What do you do on Sundays to get ready for the week or to make things easier?

Our weekends are truly the time we use to get ready for the week. I do the majority of the chores on Saturday including
laundry
change bedding
clean bathrooms
vacuum house
food shop
plan dinner for the week
iron & drop off items at cleaners

Sunday is a day of veg out for DH & I. If we have no family functions, we spent the entire day on the couch watching Football or movies...Chat Icon I love my Sundays!!!
