What do you do when your DC rolls over to sleep on their belly
The last two nights Jack has been rolling onto his belly, I will go in and flip him onto his back - and he will roll right over again.
There have been a few times when he looked like he was in a really deep sleep - so I kind of feel bad rolling him over and disturbing him - but I just don't know that I'm ready to have him sleep on his belly just yet.
What age did you let him sleep on his belly? Jack is now six months.
We have the sleep positioner in there and he has been flipping over it.
Any advice at all?

The ped told us that once they start rolling on their own you don't have to worry about flipping them back. You should remove the positioner so that he doesn't smother in it.

UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK
I do not want to do this yet - but if he flips tonight - and looks comfy - then I will leave him.
He kicks the positioner down to the bottom of the crib and he goes all the way to the top, which is why I was never worried but I will def. be taking it out tomorrow!

Re: What do you do when your DC rolls over to sleep on their belly
Our DS does the same thing. He goes to sleep on his back but ends up rolling over. We spoke to the doctor and he said it's nothing to be concerned about because he's strong enough to roll himself back the other way if he wanted to. We leave him and just make sure there isn't anything in his crib that he could be caught up in. I would remove the sleep positioner.

Re: What do you do when your DC rolls over to sleep on their belly
DS started doing this around 5 months. Now he starts on his back but will roll over. He will roll back on his belly if I put him back on his back. If I insist he will actually start crying and wake up.
He also likes to sleep on his side.
He is good at turning his head not to suffocate. I was so worried at the beginning since he was putting his head straight down. I would wake up during the night moving his head or rolling him back. He has a lot of strength now and can lift himself up really good and will turn his head when he sleeps.
There is no much you can do. Mine was not a belly sleeper and now he totally is most of the night.

Re: What do you do when your DC rolls over to sleep on their belly
The thing is we all slept on our bellies -- all of my nieces and nephews slept on their bellies -- I say if he is comfortable, let him be. He is strong and can cry or move if he isn't comfortable.

Alys Dr said the same.
I definately think you should take the positioner out of the crib now..

Re: What do you do when your DC rolls over to sleep on their belly
I know I have to let him sleep on his belly - I just didn't think I would be this nervous about it (and I did think it would happen in a few months)
Oh well - it's out of my control now.

Re: What do you do when your DC rolls over to sleep on their belly
DS started rolling over in his sleep a couple of weeks ago.. at 14 weeks!!
DH and I were freaking out, but there is no way to stop him at this point. He has been doing fine and actually sleeps really well once he flips over! He'll be fine!

I'd take out the sleep positioner and let him sleep on his tummy. IMO he is old enough to sleep however he is comfy.
