75+ in the left lane - If someone looks like they want to get around me and go even faster , I move over .........

I don't understand why anyone would WANT to drive in the left lane and go 60 mph ..........Chat Icon

IMO they are doing the speed limit so in their minds everyone else is wrong, not them. Chat Icon

I go 72. If traffic is moving faster, I will go faster or move aside, depending on my destination and mindset.

Before having Ava, I was always at a steady 75-80, now, I rarely push 70, but I don't drive in the left lane, either, only the center lane.

the highest I'll go is 65 but that's only because my car is so old it doesn't go faster than that

Just curious, those that go a bit too much over the speed limit, how many tickets have you gotten?

The LIE has cops all over it, how do you get away with it? Chat Icon

I have never been convicted of speeding in NY

pull over - yes - not on LI- but in the bronx when the speed limit is 50

I can say- even when I drive 70ish- I am ALWAYS getting passed -

Re: What do you feel is a reasonable speed for the LIE?

Right lane: 55
Middle lane: 60
Left lane: 65-70

Knowing people ALWAYS go faster than the speed limit 5-15, that would actually mean people drive at 75-85 on the left lane.... a bit scary with the HOV lane if you ask me.

I don't drive on the LIE much, my commute is against traffic and I take Sunrise most of the way. I drive anywhere between 70-80. I have passed a cop plenty of times doing 70 and they don't flinch. I think to them that is the "new" 65 (which is seemed like you used to be able to get away with without getting pulled over).
