Re: what do you girls do to stay calm and relaxed

oh i hear ya!! Just today I nearly had a panic attack. Some stuff just kept bothering me and then it seemed to get worse (nothing SERIOUS, but upsetting nonetheless). I just started crying and crying and felt like I couldn't breathe. I'm VERY prone to panic attacks (I get stressed easily). For me, just taking deep breaths helps and talking things out with somebody I trust. Also if it requires it, making a plan and writing them down (like if stressful stuff is financial or scheduling problems). These things definitely help me keep my cool.

I hear ya! I have terrible anxiety. exercise used to be my release of anxious energy. Seems to be creating more anxiety for me now as I try to navigate restrictions. Got a mani/pedi at lunch today, that helped a little :)

This is a really good question. I have terrible anxiety too and yesterday was a terrible terrible day. My whole day consisted of crying and thinking negatively. I'd like to see what you girls do to calm your nerves as well!

I'm very anxious here too and Unfortunately I can tell what NOT to do. Lately I've been looking at baby names and nursery furniture which has calmed me down a little. I think keeping busy is key. I notice on days when I'm constantly doing things I actually feel so much better.

Deep breathing............and really just keep telling myself to stay calm, because if I'm stressed, baby's stressed. For me its easier not to panic knowing that it might be affecting our little baby in there.

As for staying calm in between doctors appointments-I just tell myself that as long as the cramping isn't severe, no bleeding, and the doctor hasn't called, then we're doing pretty good Chat Icon

Re: what do you girls do to stay calm and relaxed

This pregnancy has given me some severe anxiety...and it's not all the time it just comes out of nowhere every once in awhile!

lately if I get anxious, I try to remove myself from the situtation and take deep breathes...also, looking around babies r us is definitely relaxing!
