How very exciting this is that they are finally "planning" it. They were over today and we were looking at dresses online - she has some really great ideas!!

yes, she called me and is very excited about the dress, sounds beautiful, I am trying to find in on line as we speak, she is so excited, she is so cute, she got all choked up talking to me about it just now

Is she planning Nov. '07? She may be able to get really good rates by booking close to the date....Someone on LIW got amazing quotes from places like 4 or 5 months before the date.

Definitely photographer. I should have known better when I picked mine because they were less expensive

I think that is the most important

food is important, but if everyone is dancing all night b.c there is a great band or DJ, some people don't even sit down to eat their dinner

I remember being in some nice catering halls with good food but i just remember it not being that fun b/c the music wasn't that great

I got married at the Milleridge Cottage
I loved it, no complaints, and I think it is pretty reasonably priced

Window's on the Lake has a great package deal. The only thing she may want to change is the photographer.
She should go to one of his Bridal Showcases (he usually does one this time of year) and talk to him.

MUSIC (Music means a whole lot, its what keeps everyone up and having a good time).

HALL (My hall was not that expensive, but the food was good and it was one wedding at a time. You don't have to spend tons of money to get quality food and service, you just have to research. The hall is very important!!!
PHOTOGRAPHER( If you have a bad photographer, not only can you have bad pictures, but they also can be very annoying on the wedding day. Either in your face to much, or not taking enough pictures and missing key photographs)
VIDEO ( I love my video and I couldn't imagine not having it. I was more excited about getting the video then the pictures. I really did research on this as well, and I found someone who was very unobtrusive and made a great video that was not unbelievably long and boring. It will be great to watch in about 25 years.

HONEYMOON ( when all the excitment is over with the wedding, it is great to get on a plane and go somewhere to relax. We spent alot of money on the honeymoon and went somewhere that is pretty expensive for just a regular vacation.I am glad we spent the money and I have no regrets. I will remember it forever and of course, plan to go back.

MOST IMPORTANT!!!! Do you research. I research everything, and I mean everything. IMO I had some great vendors. I had not one problem the wedding day. I spent a little more on certain vendors, but sometimes I think that is neccessary to get good service. Sometimes when you pick certain people based on a budget, you get what you pay for. Not saying that happens all the time, but it does happen.

Its Thanksgiving weekend and so many places are booked up already, its crazy!

I think if you are going to splurge on anything it should be the food, entertainment and photographer.
