What home security system do you use?

Just wondering what companies everyone uses. How much do you pay a month and what do they charge to install? Any help would be greatly appreciated

We have Slomins. 2 sensors, all doors (3) hardwired 1 door wireless I key pad. To instal, was 140.00. I think we pay about 80 every 3 months.

So far. I set it off the other day by accident, they called within a minute. So I was happy about that. They also have jic you are attacked before you get in the door, a special code that goes right to the police dept. It's nice peace of mind.

I have slomins as well and no problems with them. My DH works for them also so if anyone is interested let me know!

ADT and we just did this about 2 months ago.

We have 4 door sensors, motion detector, keyless remote, carbon monoxide and fire. All hard wire and goes directly to police or fire if it goes off.

I think we paid around $650 and it's $38 a month (Don't have the exact #'s on me)

Cost is going to depend on what you're looking for. The companies you hear about offering free or inexpensive systems are usually giving you a basic system. My DH installs alarms and some people put in systems costing thousands of dollars, but they're getting a lot more protection. Monitoring for his clients is something like $18 per month.

I have Slomins but I paid alot of money for the install!

I have the following:

2 keypads (one in the BR one by the door)
2 motion detectors

I think the basic install only covers up to 3 doors? I have front door, all ground level windows, garage door and sliding glass door (easiest way into anyones house IMHO).

I also have the 2 fire alarms...one on the ground level, one on the top floor...these are wired directly into your local FD just in case, god forbid, theres a fire when you're not home.

I think I paid around $700 for the installation and my bill is like $26 a month?

we have slomins and so far they are great

all doors and windows wired
pad in bedroom
pad by front door
2 keychain pads

89 every 3 months

2 German Shepherds & a Rottweiler.

It costs about $75 a month in dog food plus $40 a month for the Poop B Gone guy to do his thing.
