What kind of decorations for Christening party at home?
I just want a few touches of decoration or items to designate that it's a Christening - but need to keep the budget reasonable.
What did / would you do?
(I.e. balloons, personalized "God Bless..." banner, themed plates/napkins, other ideas??)
Also, looking for ideas for inexpensive places to order these items.
Also, do people still want favors?
I went to a shower this weekend & everyone left their favors on the table.

Balloons go a long way. For all our parties at home, I'd do a foil balloon and a few latex ones under it.
As for favors, edible is the way to go... I really don't want candles, etc. You can even skip the favors.

I had a banner that had her name and christening date. I also had a couple of balloons.
How about chocolate crosses as favors? something edible.

We just celebrated my daughter's christening at home this past weekend
I made sure the living room and dining room had some pretty spring flowers, got a nice bunch of cut flowers from King Kullen and put them in a vase as a centerpiece, white tablel cloth with a lace tablecloth on top, some pink and white balloons and religious themed balloons, religious themed napkins, faux plastic china plates. I wanted to do the personalized name banner but did not have enough time to order.

Party City has really nice personalized banners for $20.

We did a few balloons but it was a summer christening and I had tables outside so I made small arrangements for each table.
