I miss The Limited and Esprit.

No question there: Bailey Banks and Biddle., Apparently they are still around in other states. Oh look, they have a closeout section on their website. I may be up all night looking at the sale now.

Contemporary casuals was my go-to store at RF.
I also shopped at the store called ups and downs where you would pull the lever on the rack to get to the clothes.
There was also Topaz which I'm sure isn't around anymore.

Canal Jeans...back in the day, when they had the huge store and the basement was filled with all sorts of overstock and military stuff...ahh, loved shopping there as a teen.

The Postermat...which was a store that sold tons of things - mostly music memorabilia and, well, posters...but they also sold loads of band tee shirts.
I just read that Delia's is going out of business......I worked in their call center years ago!

See, I actually didn't realize that.
It IS real far for me but I would make the trip b/c to me it's worth it.
Esprit would be even more worth it

Ahh Service Merchandise was my dad's fave place to go to get my mom stuff!!
Oh and Wicks-N-Sticks LOL my mom loved that stuff for a period of about four years during the early to mid 90's

Not fashion, but I miss Tower Records terribly.
I cried when they went out of business. So many memories there. Really the only chain music store where the staff actually knew their shit when it came to music.
I was walking around Dublin a few weeks ago and turned a corner and THERE WAS A TOWER RECORDS. I nearly got run over because I became a hot, frazzled mess and forgot about the whole 'driving on the other side of the road' thing. I spent way too much time in there perusing everything. The signs were the same as they were here...same color schemes...I spoke with the guys at the register and a) just like Tower was here in the US, those guys were well-schooled in music and b) they were so polite and told me that Americans come in there all the time and are nostalgic like I was.
I bought a tee shirt there (so there, this is fashion-related) and have worn it a few times...each time, someone asks me something about it. 
They gave me two shopping bags for it...paper and plastic. HAHA. That's because I told them that I still had my last little yellow and red Tower Records shopping bag folded away in a box of memories.

I don't know if any of you are plus sized but I miss the Elizabeth store (Liz Claiborne's PS collection). The outlet stuff just isn't the same.
And the Lord and Taylor outlet stores, they were the best, LOL!
Back to my Caldor days, we had a McCrorys too that was so much fun when I was little. And a Woolworths. Showing my age but we didn't have much out here in the sticks back then so anything was better then driving to the mall (which is like 25 mins but my mon also made out to seem like it was hours away!)

totally forgot about service merchandise, the one in east meadow. You picked what you wanted, wrote out a slip, placed the order and watched your order come down the conveyor belt

I forgot about that store too! Go to B&H in the city and you'll still get to see conveyor belts on the ceiling!

See, I actually didn't realize that.

Esprit would be even more worth it
There is a Limited in Walt Whitman too. They did reopen Esprit in Smithhaven last year or the year before. I am not sure that it lasted though I haven't been there in a while.
