In his 14 months is has ranged from 8-930. But generally and right now , it is 9pm. We start bath at 740ish, bottle around 8. We have done it this way always, in order to get our play time in with him each day after work/day care and dinner Chat Icon

Re: What time is bedtime?

DD will be two in June, and during the week, goes to bed around 7:30-7:45. She wakes up at the buttcrack of dawn, and we're out of the house at either 6:50 or 7:15, depending on the day. On the weekends, if we're out and about, we can keep her up a little later these days...and she's still up at the buttcrack of dawn.

DS (almost 14 months) - between 6:30 and 7pm. Sleeps until 6:30-7am. Has had this schedule since he was around 3 months old.

DD (5.5 yrs old) - 8pm and gets up for school at 7:30am BUT would sleep until at least 9 if she could. She's had this schedule since she was probably 8-10 months old.

Re: What time is bedtime?

From birth until Kindergarten.... Whenever
Generally late around 10pm 11pm.. whatever it got a little earlier then went back to 10, she finally settled on 9:30 or so. I also let her crash anywhere as well. On the living room floor with a mat, on the couch, her bed, on the floor in her room, I just didn't care. Id move her into the bed if I could but if not, whatever works, works.

I don't care what people say. My kid was NOT happier or better rested with more sleep. She was crankier and unhappy and we all suffered. She slept, we slept, it worked. The BS of trying to get her to bed early was torture on all of us. The idea of 'this is where you sleep' was beyond stupid to us. Tons of children around the world sleep with less, who cares how she sleeps as long as she sleeps, right? If we forced her to be early she woke up in the middle of the night.

So we did what worked for us, end of story.

Kindergarten changed it. She is so spent that she crashes at 8:30 now. But its HER doing. She tells us she's tired and starts her bedtime routine. Weekends she will actually nap! LOL at 5yrs old sorta odd, huh? She tells us, "I'm going to lay down for a bit" and she'll crash (that is if we are out doing stuff). If we are home doing lazy stuff she's up all day.

What time is bedtime?

DD is 17mo, she goes to bed anywhere between 730-8pm and has since she was just a few weeks old.

She's only been STTN for the past 3-4 mo though, despite always having a pretty good bedtime routine.

At almost 4 years old we no longer have one. She just gets out of bed until SHE is ready and tired enough to fall asleep.
