what time to put newborn into crib? Suggestions
So I have been putting KJ into his crib at 10:30-11pm after his bottle. He wakes at 2:30 ish and then at 6ish for a bottle
I wonder if it is better to start putting him into his crib earlier, at like 8pm after his bottle at that time
does it matter? I just thought it may be good to get him used to being in the crib before 11pm

It doesn't hurt... is he usually sleeping before his 10:30-11:00 bottle? If so, then I'd put him in his crib. This is what we did with my DD. Everytime she slept, it was in her crib.
no matter the time of day.

Mason has the same sched, but we put him in his crib at around 7:30 - 8ish. His last bottle is usually around 6:30 PM. After he either goes in for a bath or I just wash him up, then PJ's, story and crib. He sleeps till 2 - 3AM. Gets up for a bottle (downs it in 10 mins then right back to sleep) and then he gets up again around 6:30 AM
See what happens if you put him in earlier. I like it b/c after DH and I will have dinner together and relax and watch TV so we have some time alone.

James gets a bottle between 8-8:30 and then right into his crib. He might not go right to sleep, but he'll hang out in there and not cry or fuss.
He'll go until between 1-1:30 before getting up again.

yes, he usually has a bottle at 7:30-8 and then falls asleep in his swing or bouncy seat
he sleeps SO much during the day still, I was not sure if I wanted to have him in his crib pretty much all day, KWIM
I may try to put him into his crib tonight after that 7-8 feeding

Steph...from the first day home, I would give Mattea a bottle at 6:30pm and then put her in the crib, instead of her sleeping in the bouncy, etc.
She did the normal, wake every 3-31/2 hour thing. But the following week she would go longer and then the following week even longer. By 6 weeks she was sleeping from 6:30-4am, bottle and then wake for the day at 7am.
