What to send for death in family
Dh's cousin passed of an overdose (he was 43). There will not be a funeral. He is cremated and there will be a small "luncheon" in Florida which we cannot attend. What can I send from us? Since its a luncheon, I don't think the restaurant would accept flowers. And theres no specific family to send something to, arrangements are being made by his siblings, both of whom live in another state and are flying in to have this luncheon. I'd like to acknowledge it with something from us, but I'm not sure who or what to send and where to send it. Suggestions?

Donation in his name.
DH's aunt passed recently, and rather than buying a flower arrangement, we made a donation in her name to the Cape May Animal Society. She loved cats and had them all her life.

I agree with a donation too. My mom loved animals, one online shelter/rescue in particular, so we asked for donations in lieu of flowers.

I would either do a donation in his name or send a small house plant to each of the siblings homes so they can have as a remembrance of their brother

Donation, or a GC for food, or a cleaner. I don’t think sending flowers is the best thing. They die, too.
