what town on jersey shore for family vacation?
i don't know anything about it, but was looking to go this summer. Have NO IDEA where to start.

what town on jersey shore for family vacation?
Beach haven on LBI. But really anywhere on LBI. There isn't a boardwalk so I feel like its not as crazy as some places. I spent my summers there growing up

Ocean city. There is a boardwalk, but its a dry island so no bars. The boardwalk is rides, shoppes, etc. no carney games or drunks.

i grew up in NJ... definitely what the last 2 posters said!! either LBI or Ocean City 
Ocean city might be slightly better with kids because it has the boardwalk with rides and stuff. Plus its a dry town with no bars- so the keeps out a lot of the shady "Jersey Shore" people
BUT LBI is great, too! no boardwalk- but theres an amusement park and mini golf and stuff

I went to Wildwood from age 2-late 20's. Once, I had a family of my own, we tried Ocean City, and I love it! More family-friendly, cleaner atmosphere. The Travel Channel has rated it best family destination for a few recent years. And Manco and Manco has the best pizza you will ever have outside of Italy!
I hear great things about LBI too. I was only there once though so I can't say too much about it.
We rent a house every year in Brigantine (near Atlantic City but much more family friendly), but we always make sure to hit the Ocean City boardwalk one night. FM me with any questions.

We own ( well my parents do) a house in Lavallette. I've been going there since I'm 8 and I just turned 35!!! It's south of Point Pleasant but north of Seaside!

We own in Seaside. Not exactly family friendly anymore  but Lavallette is a great town! I'm not sure what kind of shape it will be in for this summer though...I know Seaside is still a mess.

what town on jersey shore for family vacation?
We went to Wildwood 2 Summers ago, LOVED it! Sooo family friendly, tons to do on the Piers, great waterparks, and my kids really loved it. No obnoxious drunks, felt completely safe alone with my 2 kids. We stayed at the Starlux. Cute hotel that is retro style (but updated unlike so many there).
