Re: What would you tell your younger self, if you could?
-Stay away from my first (psycho) boyfriend, who pretty much ruined a good part of my time spent in HS and caused me A LOT of stress and grief throughout the years
-You are smart, try harder
- Stop stressing about being pale, you have a hot bod.. light skin doesn't matter
- Save more.. I worked since I was 14 and had nothing to show for it.. blew it all on clothes and going out
-Take driving lessons from the get-go.. don't let mom try to teach you
-Oh.. and, you are not a gangster.. you are not tough.. so don't act like you are..
Take off the bandana and UFO pants!!!

Re: What would you tell your younger self, if you could?
take better care of yourself. Don't smoke..just don't.
Stop worrying about everything, you can't change everything and you worrying won't change things.
Get your degree..in whatever it is.
Start a family before you are 40.

Re: What would you tell your younger self, if you could?
Stop obsessing with your weight and looks
Walk away from that jerk you met, spent 5 years of your life with, who only made you cry, lose any self-esteem you may have had, verbally and physically abused you and then ended up marrying a girl who he fathered a child with that you had no idea about and told you even though he is married he still wanted to be with you
SAVE YOUR MONEY
Think for yourself
spend more time with your family, the clubs will still be open next week

Re: What would you tell your younger self, if you could?
- You are not fat.
- Don't get into credit card debt, only spend the money you have!
- Like the guys who like you, not the ones who treat you poorly.
- Don't stay friends with people who treat you poorly.
- Play sports.
- Don't slack off in school just because you do well without trying...you can do better!

Re: What would you tell your younger self, if you could?
You know all that money you earned when you started working at 11 and worked until now? Save more of it because some day you are going to want to buy a house and make babies. Also, get better grades because you will feel better about yourself. Might not need them, but you'll feel better.

Don't start smoking!!!!
Don't do shots of liquid heroine at your jr. prom
No, your family is not going to wake up one day and just all of a sudden be Normal. But, you'll be out of there before your 18th birthday, so just grin and bear it.

Re: What would you tell your younger self, if you could?
You shouldn't have broken up with D.
You shouldn't ever have even spoken to R, not much date him on/off for 5 years. After the 100th time he hurt you, wasn't that enough? Hell, you DEFINITELY shouldn't still talk to him now. You ARE as pretty as everyone else.
Have more confidence. Sing on stage....by yourself. Stand up to your friends.
Get the most out of college - don't hold on too much to the past or visit home too much.
Your true friends will emerge in time...let go of everyone else.

Wear sunscreen and stop trying to get tan...it's not going to happen. Embrace your paleness and accept your skin color for what it is.

Re: What would you tell your younger self, if you could?
-STOP taking care of everyone else/put yourself first. -Break up with him before he scars you for life. -The day you start working , open a savings acnt and put at least $10-20 in it EVERY SINGLE WEEK you get paid ,you save more that way.

Re: What would you tell your younger self, if you could?
-stay away from credit cards -NEVER depend on others in order to feel confidence in yourself! -don't give so much away/wear your heart on your sleeve -not everyone is going to like you- it's OKAY!!!!(And I STILL have to tell myself this! ) STOP caring what everyone thinks! -Stop stressing over the way your sisters perceive you. -SAVE $$$$$$ -minor in education or something! don't just go with a performance degree! -have fun, let go - who cares?!

Be braver. Dont settle for what you are given, ask for what you want. Stand up for yourself. They are not "better" than you.
I love these; that's what I'd say. Plus, I'd tell myself to believe in karma--and myself.

-"You're never going to believe this.. BUT.. you're gonna LOVE hanging out with your parents every day"
-Don't go into college with a long-distance relationship
-Definitely do the study abroad
-Savor every minute with your grandparents
-Watch your weight, it's harder to take off when you are older
-Don't go to such an expensive school.

Re: What would you tell your younger self, if you could?
I know you had a tough childhood and saw things that caused you matured faster than others, but dont rush it - enjoy your youth and innocence. Dont grow up too fast, you want to enjoy your teens.
In your last year in college stay away from the suave bad boy - he really isnt misunderstood, he is that psycho. Enjoy your last year in college single
