What would you want to read about? (wine related)

So, I'm doing some 'lance work for a local wine magazine. The publisher wanted to hear some ideas I had.

Would you want to hear about any of the following?

Organic wines....put to the test

Wine in cinema/pop culture.

Food pairings--comfort food for Fall with our favorite wines

Wine trends. What do the new generation of drinkers bring to the table? Why is the "screw top" suddenly chic? Why is rose' becoming so popular?

or
Wine raves and rants
or
Wine varieties...the newest blends

Really? I tend to pick my menu (if it's a special dinner) and then look up a good wine for it.

Just what i heard

YES there are food that wines do go best with...

But i was told that you should always get the wine that fits your taste not your food

Actually, the proper way is to start with a wine, the select the food. But i always do it the other way!

I am kind of embarrased to say thisChat Icon but what about wine selection for dummies- or wine 101---

I love a glass of wine here and there but never know what to look for when selecting. I always have to ask the people who work @ the liquor store or restaurant to help me pck something good.

Re: What would you want to read about? (wine related)

I once received a dozen bottler from selectwinesllc.com (great site!) and they gave me a complete breakdown of the wine, everything from when to drink, foods, where it came from, a whole page for each bottle, it was great!!!

So, maybe wine education?

I also like the last one.....

Good idea! The best thing is to look up how many points it has. Wine Spectator is always something good to measure against. If you see at the shop that a certain wine has a tag that says, say 86 points (pretty good!) and it's under $10--try it!

b/c the wine lasts MUCH longer. It's not as romantic, but your wine is so much better the next day.

i have to say...

IMO wine on the north fork IMO isn't really over priced

at least not yet..

but it will be soon

with all this popularity it has gain in the past few years...

there are more and more wines that are coming out with highER prices..

but in the grand scheme of thing...i can't say they are "over" priced

MAX you spend a good 30-35 on a good wine
