What's the best age?

My DD is one years old and I was talking to a family member about how hard it is right now with her and she said that the best age for her was when her daughter was 18 months!

is this true? what was the best age for you?

Re: What's the best age?

for me I love love 14m +
At that point my girls walked really well and by 16 months had huge vocabularies already so we were totally able to communicate fully. Its such a fun age IMO.

Re: What's the best age?

I'm loving right now she'll be 2 in a few weeks and in the same breathe I hate it

It depends on the moment! I think terrible two's come with the incredible cuteness to make up for the other half

Re: What's the best age?

DS is 13 months and I HATE this stage. I love the cuteness and the babbling, but I hate constantly running after him, telling him no, him tantruming on the floor, etc. I can't let him loose anywhere because he'll tear the place up. It definitely gets easier after 18 months, that I know from my DD.

Re: What's the best age?

9m and up best age! But it has nothing to do with DS, and everything to do with changing my parenting style. We've been in heaven since.

DS is now 21 months. I think about 6 months was great. He laughed and smiled and couldn't go anywhere and get into trouble.

Re: What's the best age?

This is funny my friend and I just had this convo while we watched our 3 yr old and 2 yr olds play at the park!!

What we agreed:

I think (esp when older siblings are involved) is when they are sleepng through the nights...but perfectly content in a stroller or swing or bouncy seat and dont want to chase after their older siblings when they cant! Chat Icon Chat Icon so like 5-6-7 months! before they can crawl and want to crawl in restaurants, stores, anywhere!

Then again when they are independent enough to help themselves and listen and follow instructions...like 20 + months..when you can sit on a bench at a park and look after them play without having to be right behind them in fear they cant climb up the stairs! HAHAHA!
