When did you move DC to a big kid bed??
I know im a little far off for this but i was curious when is the right-ish time to do that? We are TTC for #2 so im wondering if i will need to buy a new crib or if DD will be big enough for her own big girl bed and we can use her crib for the new addition....

I'm glad you asked this because I was thinking the same thing, we are trying for #2 and they would have to share a room.

It really really depends. How old your child is when the baby is born AND if they are ready to be put in a bed. I know 18 mnth olds that have been in beds - and we put my son in a bed at almost 3. I would worry about that when the time comes.

Agreed. MY neice was 19 months when her brother was born and she was in a bed.
DS is 30 months old now and still in his crib. He has never tried to climb out so we havent moved him although he is getting too big now so we are going to buy him a new bed in the next few weeks.

Mine are 19 months apart. We kept DC1 in his crib until he was ready for a twin bed at 26 months

DS will be 3 next month and we just converted his crib to the daybed a couple of weeks ago. And to be honest with you, he was perfectly happy sleeping in his crib. 
We had DD when DS was 27 months and he was still in his crib, so we got another crib for DD.
But I do know a lot of mommies who move their DC into a big kid bed much earlier!
