Re: When did you tell your immediate family?
DH and I live in FL and our families are up on LI. We told our parents around 6 weeks and then some extended family when we were in NY around 9 weeks. DH wanted to tell as many people as we could in person since we don't have that luxury being in FL. I was uncomfortable at first because I wanted to wait until 12 weeks to tell anyone, but we compromised and decided to only share the news with close friends and family we saw in-person and then wait until 12 weeks to share with everyone else we didn't get to see.
I think it's a couple-by-couple preference. If you and your DH are just bursting with excitement (which I'm sure you are!!!) and want to share the news, go ahead! It's YOUR news to tell to whomever you want, whenever you want.
Congrats!!!

Re: When did you tell your immediate family?
We told them the weekend after my first appt when the pregnancy was confirmed. I was also at the 7 week mark so I think now is an excellent time to tell your families. What a great Thanksgiving memory for you all to have in the years to come!!
