When did you transition your baby from sleeping in your room to their own crib?

He is 3 months old...DH wants him in his own crib. He sleeps through the night and there is no reason he shouldn't be in his own room now..I think I'm just hesitant because of me! LOL When did you transition to crib and how did it go? If they slept through the night in bassinet did it stay that way once you moved them? I'm afraid it will disrupt his great sleep he's having now. Thanks!

I think around 4.5 months. It was fine...nothing changed. She didn't STTN before we moved her, and she didn't STTN after either, lol.

we moved DD from the rock and play sleeper in our room to the crib at 6 m and it went very well. she STTN by that point in the R&P and did pretty well in the crib. it mayve taken a few nights for her to be totally comfortable, but it wasnt bad at all. good luck!

I think around 4 mos.
Was STTN 12 hrs since 12 weeks old. I was so afraid to move her - she moved a lot her 1st night in crib b/c of all that extra space so her moving had me nervous and kept me up all night. I kept thinking I had to go in and move her back to good position until I realized she would just move all over the place all night long and it was ok. I did still swaddle her so maybe that kept her moving to a minimum...I honestly can't remember. But I do know the first few nights in crib were hard on me...DD was fine though. Once I got used to it it was best thing we ever did! We slept so much better with her out of our room.
One thing I did was put her in PNP in our room for a week or so before putting her in crib...I had her in FP Rock-N-Play prior to that so I wanted her to be near me when she would first have all that extra room.

she stopped sleeping in our room around 3m but didnt go to the crib until 7.5m (rock n play until we were ready ). she moved to the living room before her room since her room is across the house and the living room is right next to our room.

My was transitioned from the bassinet in our bedroom to his crib in his room at 3 months. The transition was quite easy for him...harder for me. I woke up all throughout the night to check the video monitor. He actually slept better in there from the get go and shortly after, began sleeping through the night Wishing you luck with your transition....I'm sure it will be harder on you than the baby, but all will be okay
