When did your EBF child walk?
DS was EBF (never supplemented with formula) and is on cow's milk since turning one. He turns 14 months old tomorrow. Cruises great but not ready to walk on own.
Just wanted to know when your DCs started to walk because it seems every baby I know of that walks before one was formula fed. Not sure if there is a connection at all... this is just my own observation.
It's just a little discouraging... but I know when he is ready, it will happen.

When did your EBF child walk?
DS 1 walked on his own at 9months
Ds 2 is 8.5 months and just now starting to hold on to the table and walk.

DONT BE DISCOURAGED
all babies are different. he will walk when hes ready! I know you probably hate hearing that. But my neice didnt walk until almost 18 months. my nephew was over a year.

I dont think there is a correlation. That being said, DS started walking 2 weeks after his first birthday.

Cruised furniture at 6 months and walked at 8.5 months. Never had formula or bottles. He was pulling up on furniture on his 5 month birthday. All my babies did things on the early side but my only EBF baby was by far my earliest.

Hmm ok then...
Gonna try to give me more opportunities then and walk with him hold his hands. Maybe that's the reason although we play and I let him crawl and he pulls up and cruises all the time... will take steps if you hold his hands...

I don't see a connection. I have a friend, from, LIF, actually, whose EBF baby walked at 10 months. My son walked late (13-14 months) and he only got breastmilk for the first 2 weeks. However, because my son was cruising so much, I felt that he was satisfied with his ability to get where he needed to go. I always thought that he just did not see a need to walk but that he had the right skills to just get up and do it. My son was born a month early, so he had an adjusted age until he was about 3. It is still worth asking your ped. about it but they will probably not intervene just yet.

On own at 9 months. I don't think it has anything to do with how dd was fed.

Both kids were EBF and both walked at 10 1/2 months. My niece was formula fed and walked at 15 months.
Every child is different. I really dont think it matters what they are fed as babies.

There could be a connection if he is bigger. My EBF is a bit heftier, LOL, then his formula friends and the dr said that could cause him to walk later, though I know not always. Also, I was reading that more easy going kids walk later, it's just part of their personality. My son is almost 11 months and scoots as his mode, he is getting up on his feet, but doesn't cruise at all. He will take uncertain steps if I hold his hands.

No correlation. I have a few mommy friends who's EBF babies walked at 9/10 months. DD was 14 months.... and hasn't stopped running since!

DD was 11 months. She started cruising at 7 months and would NOT let go of something until about a month before her birthday. She was very obviously scared and cautious, but one day she just decided eh, I guess I'll let go and that was it. I'm sure it has nothing to do with how he is fed, but he may just not be ready yet. Don't worry!

I forgot to add the my EBF baby was my biggest baby(all mine were on the large side). He was 20 lbs at 4 months. I don't buy the large baby=slower milestones connection either that I see referenced on here so often. Being big never slowed my kids down. Some babies just do things slower then others. they all do things when they are ready regardless of size or how they are fed.

I have two girls first was basically EFF. I nursed her and pumped in the very beginning but switched to formula exclusively by about two months. The second was EBF for almost a year. They both walked at almost exactly 1 year old.

 #1 EBF, no formula. Walked at 14-15 months.
 - she was formula fed and walked at 14-15 months also!
#2 is also EBF so far at 6 months. I am guessing he will follow suit in walking well after 1 years old because he was slow to hold head up, sit, roll over, etc.

Logan was EBF and pulled to stand at 6 months and was fully walking at 9 months.

DD was EBF and walked at 14 months. I really don't think this has anything to do with BF. Each baby will walk when they're ready.

DS was EBF and walked at 14 months. He started army crawling at 5 months and I was sure he'd be an early walker, but no such luck. I guess he had gotten so adept at getting around on all fours he didn't feel the need to walk 
Now at 2.5 I can't get him to stop running! Like a PP said, every baby will walk when they're ready. Don't worry!

In the beginning my DD had some BM along with formula, I didn't make enough milk to EBF her. She was cruising around with assistance from 12 months on, walked all by herself at 15 months.

My DS was BFed and had formula and didn't walk until he was almost 15 months old. Some babies just walk late! Have him hold onto your fingers and practice that way.

My son is FF and at 11 months he is not walking yet. Pulling up and starting to cruise but no walking. I don't think there is a correlation bw FF/BF and walking.

When did your EBF child walk?
I'm pretty sure it's unrelated. Both my kids and my nephew were EBF. My kids walked at 9 mo and 11 mo, and nephew walked at 15 mo.
My niece was FF and walked at 10 mo.
