When do we take Lamaze or hospital birthing class?
I'm three days from my third trimester and realize I'm not prepared AT ALL.
Is there a good timeline to follow on getting prepared for L&D?

The hospital you deliver at many times have classes they offer that you can sign up for, if you wish to go that route.
The only thing we did was the mandatory C/S class at Good Sam; but they had a list of other classes that people could sign up for if they wanted, but I had no desire. So check with your hospital.

I think they're generally called childbirth prep classes now. We start ours in 2 weeks - I'll be 35 weeks when it ends.

How do you start the process of taking a class like this? Is it through your doctor's office or hospital? Do you contact them or vice versa?

Our hospital gives free childbirth prep classes, so we took those at 29 and 30 weeks. I took the breastfeeding class at 29 weeks also. The nurse that did the childbirth class does a Lamaze class outside of the hospital (she's actually a vendor here) and were taking that when I'm 36 weeks.
