When do you add your laundry detergent?
I'm not sure how it works with the front-loaders (we're not that fancy here  ) - I'm wondering about good old-fashioned top-loaders
Do you put your laundry detergent in BEFORE you put the clothes in, so that the clothes are essentially on top of the detergent... or do you put in AFTER you put the clothes in, so the detergent is on top of the clothes?
I'm one to put it on top - no particular reason...
What do YOU do? Do you have a reason for doing it the way you do?

i have a top loader also...
i put the detergent in on top of the clothes too...
no reason either...more of a habit!

I put the detergent in after the clothes are in and after I turn on the washing machine.

I'm loving how strange our topics are getting today
BTW, I have an old top loader (came with the house) and I put the liquid detergent in before I start the machine.

My top loader has an area to pour the laundry detergent into. It doesn't go directly on the clothes.
In my old machine - I used to put it on the bottom and then load my clothes in.

I put "I can't believe you still have a top-loader" just to bust your chops.
When we were using a top loader, I'd put the clothes in and then pour the detergent on top.

Top loader-I put it in as water is filling, then i put in clothes.
For front loader, there is a sep. place for detergent and again, I put it in before I start the machine, but clothes are already in.
