My Dh was asked to leave, but I also delivered in a NJ hospital.

I delivered at Stony Brook. The nurses kicked Dh and my mom out of the room. Thank God I had an amazing nurse to hug when they did it though.

Dh wasn't allowed to stay but I was fine with that, i just wanted that epi could have cared less who was in there. Eta I delivered at St. Charles

When I went for my first OB appointment I had to sign a form that stated I was aware that DH would not be allowed int he room if I need/choose to have an epi.
but like other posters said, i think it depends on the hospital

They asked my DH to leave the room when I got the epi. The nurse and anesthesiologist were the only ones in the room.

I delivered at LIJ and DH was not allowed in the room. I wish he was able to stay though because I wanted him to see every second of pain I went through LOL
