When introducing new table foods at 1 and older

Do you still give it for three to five days in a row to see if there is a reaction? DD just had some strawberry banana smoothie from McDonald's and it was her first time having strawberries. Do I have her eat strawberries for the next few days to see if she has a reaction? I guess I am concerned because this is the first highly allergic food I have introduced in a while.

I don't think so. I give DD new stuff all the time.

Same, but honestly I never really did the 3-5 day rule past about 9 months....

I don't do the 3-5 day rule but I try not to give more than one new thing every couple of days in case they have a reaction. This way I'll know what it was.

after i did all the basics (around 7 mths) I asked my ped, and she said I could introduce 1 new thing a day, except if it was a common allergen. strawberries are one of those. I would wait for strawberries, peanut butter, shellfish.

How many days would you wait for strawberries?
