When is appropriate time frame for shower?
Since it looks like DH and I will be doing our own and we are totally lost as to where to begin. When is a good time frame to have? Im due on VDAY and with the holidays i was hoping to kinda of stay away from them because i know how hard it can be around then? TIA

I'm due like a week after you and I know my shower date already. My mom is having it Jan 3rd so it's after the holidays and enough time to prepare and get whatever else I need before baby. Good Luck Planning!

my due date is February 13th and my shower will be in CT (where I live) but many guests are coming from NY... so to avoid the possibility of terrible January weather and the holidays, my mom decided to have my shower December 6th. It is a little earlier than "usual" but I am glad it is early

I think you can go for a december shower. If you wait until mid-january when the holidays are over, you may be getting to the point of discomfort. I remember wannabemom saying at her shower it was a little difficult to bend, open gifts etc.

My Mom is planning mine for sometime in the beginning of December. She wanted to get it in before the holidays. Since we're date twins---I think anytime in late November, December, or the beginning of January should be fine for you. I agree with one of the other posters---if you wait too long, you may be uncomfortable.
