When it's your birthday what kind of cake
do you get? Is it always the same? I feel like every family member has their own"cake" lol. What's yours?
Mine for the past few years has been a mocha buttercream cake from a particular bakery. I'm switching it up this year though and going for a napoleon cake!

I always want the same: chocolate,chocolate and more chocolate! That means chocolate cake, with chocolate filling, chocolate chips inside the filling and chocolate icing!

It was just my birthday and I had DH get an ice cream cake from Coyles. It had oreo cookie ice cream....so good!

Ice Cream cake!! With the chocolate crunchies in between the two layers...not the cake with the actual cake on the bottom and ice cream on top. Yes, I like a typical child's birthday cake!

When I was not living in NY near a Friendly's my parents always got me an Ice Cream Cake from Carvel.
I don't really like traditional cake because I don't like the icing so I have always had Ice Cream Cakes.

Anything but chocolate... It's a weird thing I have, but people start to understand a bit when I try to explain it. I LOVE chocolate, but it has to be actual chocolate. Chocolate-flavored cakes, ice cream, etc, I don't enjoy. Brownies that are more fudgey and chocolatey, I love, but if they are more like chocolate cake, I don't like them.

I like Maple Cream and Mocha - they are cakes that we don't usually get for anyone else so it's kind of a once a year treat.

I totally get it and am the same way (except I do like chocolate ice cream) I hate chocolate cake and cake like brownies or cookies. If they are fudgey/chewy I like them. People think i'm nuts when I say I don't like chocolate cake!
