When the back pain in unbearable! I need to vent and get some hugs!
I already tried a prenatal massage this past week, and it did not give me much relief since most of the areas that are bothering me are areas that she told me they can do a lot of work on. I had a PT eval yesterday and she gave me some stretches that felt good yesterday when I was on the PT table, but I can not get the same angle at home and it's making me very uncomfortable to even attempt them (luckily I work with this therapist so I can talk to her about it tomorrow). In the meantime I am in agony and can not get comfortable. I am only 25 weeks!!! How am I going to make it to 40? All I keep hearing is that this is only going to get worse, so I have told DH that in 5 more weeks I will probably need a wheelchair! Poor DH does not know what to do for me anymore and feels terrible. He tries to do some light back rubs, which feel good while he's doing it, but then it goes back when he stops. The only thing I can do is go in the bedroom, lay on my tempurpedic bed on my side w/ a body pillow to get any sort of relief. Meanwhile I spend so much time in there since that is the only place I can get somewhat comfortable, I feel like I am constantly alone and isolated. I'm not sure why it's so bad, except I have had previous injuries to my lower back, so this just might be making the old injuries flair up. I feel like I am always whining and complaining, but I literally can not do ANYTHING anymore. Our apartment has been neglected, I can't drive longer than 20-25 minutes without crying (which sucks because all of my family and friends live further than that), I can't even sit and watch TV with my husband anymore! Problem is that everyone tells me how "normal" this is, which I get, but it started a lot earlier for me and I don't know, it may be worse. I have never heard anyone complain like this, which makes me start to believe that I am just being a big baby about it, which is upsetting me more. Yet the more I try to just suck it up and deal with it, the worse it is for me.
I know that there are not many "answers" out there. I could just use some hugs and support please. I feel like everyone is tired of hearing me complain about something so "normal" that "is just part of pregnancy".
Thanks

It sucks when you don't feel good, and the back pain is the worst at times - and yours sounds terrible.
Have you taken Tylenol to help with the pain, even just a little bit?

Yeah, I've tried. Tylenol was never very effective with me, so it barely takes the edge off now. Plus I am still having trouble with gagging on pills (God I hope that's not permanent) so I am bound to the liquid, which is childrens.

Maybe seeing a chiropractor would help??
Here is an interesting article about seeing a chiropractor during pregnancy:

I agree. I have lower back issues and have been treated by a chiropractor for awhile. He said that he can continue to treat me throughout my pregnancy, and my OB said that is ok as well. A chiropractor may be able to adjust you and take some pressure off your nerves, giving you relief.

I had 8 sessions with a physical therapist, utilizing heat, ice, exercise and massage and boy what a relief it was!!!! My insurance only pays for 8 so I have to wait a while before I can "reapply." I found I got the most relief when they adjusted my hips...apparently I was having a rotator issue.
