when to switch to booster car seat?
DD is 2.5. She'll be 3 in may. She's about 37 inches now and seems like she's getting too big for her convertible car seat. We have #2 coming in April. Should we get a booster car seat for DD or wait?

NYS law is 4 yrs/40pounds...You can switch to the Graco Nautilus. It is for 20-100 pounds. It goes from a car seat-high back booster- low back booster. The longer you can keep her in a 5 point harness the better...

My girls are 3 years old and 4 years old and we just bought them the Graco Nautilus 3 in 1. We will use the 5 point harness for both of them for a few more years. 5 point it by far the safest and I will use it until the outgrow them. I can't imagine a 2 year old (or 3 or 4 year old) in even a high back booster.
