Re: When was your DC off bottles completely?
2 weeks over 1 year old. We were on vacation right after his first birthday so I kept his bottles for that. Once we got home no more bottles!

Re: When was your DC off bottles completely?
19 months, but we were to blame.
DS never took sippy cups, but only straw cups. For months I kept trying sippy cups, thinking it was the next step. Never happened. Just after a year he was only taking water and juice through straw cups, but only wanted milk in a bottle. We were traveling OOS for two weddings when he was 18 months, so we didn't change his routine of the milk bottle. As soon as we got home, we switched him to straw cups for milk. He was upset at first, but once we showed him there were no more bottles in the house he was fine.

Re: When was your DC off bottles completely?
I aimed at 1 year, but he just wont drink alot of milk from a sippy unless he's in a really good mood and really thirsty. With teething in the midst, and him hating milk in general I just worry he's not drinking enough.
I'm trying to offer one a day, hoping that when he takes a good amount, I'll offer another a day. Cold turkey would probably work, but I don't have the strength to do it.

Re: When was your DC off bottles completely?
around a year...
All bottles during the day she was off almost immediately after a year.
The night one I kept because she was sketchy with the milk from a sippy for a while and I wanted to make sure she was getting a striaght 8oz at once.
Even still, I only kept the night one for like another month.
To those saying their DC wont drink milk from a sippy.... if you dont give the bottle for a few days...they will learn quick!!!!!!!!

Re: When was your DC off bottles completely?
DS is going to be 15 months and he still has 2 bottles a day. We are going cold turkey on the straw cups this monday coming up. For the morning bottle first.

Re: When was your DC off bottles completely?
He handed it over at 22 months and said "No bottle" and that was it. I never tried to rush him since the ped made no complaints & it was only 2 times a day.
