mine is always on, but its downstairs charging at night while we're sleeping upstairs.
if it was an emergency in the middle of the night, we have a landline as well
if someone were to call or text in the middle of the night, i probably wouldn't hear it if i was asleep

Keep it on ring.
DH works nights so I want him to be able to reach me if need be...and I would sleep right through a vibrate.

I just keep it on ring. If I set it to vibrate, I wouldn't remember to turn it back to ring in the morning... I'm terrible with that. Sometimes I go to the movies and forget to turn my ringer back on for days  And no one really calls me in the middle of the night anyway. If it became a problem, I'm sure I'd start turning the sound off.

It's turned on, and whether it's ring or vibrate just depends on what it had already been on at that time. I don't change it at night. I have a house phone that my family would use in an emergency.

I have a BB, so I use the "phone only" option. That means if there's a call it will ring but it won't show alerts for emails or text messages.

I get calls from work sometimes at 3am, 4am, 5am.
Plus, it's my alarm clock.

Ringer. My phone is only on vibrate at work or at a movie theater. Or when I forget to turn the ringer on.

I use my iphone as my alarm. If my husband is home and not working late, I switch it to vibrate for any incoming phone calls or messages and it will only sound off the alarm in the morning. If he working late, I will switch from vibrate mode to on.

I keep mine on phone calls only. My boss goes thru phases where she'll text me at 1 in the morning. I keep the phone on for emergencies, no one has our house #.

at my bf's house on the weekend i keep it on completely silent (no vibrate)
