When your child started cereal....

did you change their bottle schedule? Did they take less in their bottles? Just curious -- we started cereal yesterday and not to sure what i am doing

My DD used to drink about 30 oz of BM a day now we are down to about 15 oz. She's just not hungry for BM much with other feedings 3x a day. We try to get a bottle of BM or I breast feed between each of the 3 meals. In the morning she takes a bigger bottle (5oz.) but then throughout the day, she scales back to about 3oz per feeding.

Well when they first started they didn't take that much in so no it didn't change. Then as they took more cereal (and other foods) they are now growing and needing more - so no the bottle schedule didn't change. The only thing that changed is they wait about 1/2 hour in between cereal and when they get their bottle.

Nothing changed at all for us - she still eats 6 oz every four hours for a total of four times a day.

The Dr. told us that her schedule might change, but for us it didn't.

Jack take a bottle at 6 am and then at 10am....which one would you give the cereal at??

eventually you may want or need to eliminate the 6 am feeding

also, from a selfish perspective, I find it much easier to add cereal to the feeding when I'm not a complete zombie!
