Where do u change your DC's diaper @ home?

The boys are 7mo and are just too squirmy and heavy for us to still use the diaper changer on the PNP. I started changing their diapers on some foam playmat stuff on the floor, but DH doesn't like to kneel on the floor and is insisting that I buy something else.

What do u use?

We do it on the dresser/changing table. DD is 10 1/2 months. We give her a toy to play with so she doesnt move. She is very good and doesnt squirm really. If she doesnt have a toy in her hand though its a wrestling match.Chat Icon

At that age, we were using the dining room table...We didn't use it to eat on and it was baby central in there. I eventually bought a changing table and mostly use that. On occasion I will change them on the floor. But it kills my back!

Re: Where do u change your DC's diaper @ home?

We almost always use the changing pad on top of the dresser. Every once in a while if one of the kids are sleeping in the room I will change the other in our bedroom on the floor or bed, but usually it's in their room.

At our old apt we bought a changing table for the LR so we wouldn't have to bring them in their BR every time we needed to change diapers.

The changing station on the PNP since it's downstairs in the Den.
We hardly ever use the one on his dresser, unless we change him right before bed.

The floor... When upstairs near his room I try to use the changing table but the fussiness gets out of control sometimes and we end up on the floor..

at 8 months, changing table always.

am i the only one who finds it hard to change a diaper unless DC is laying sideways? Chat Icon I cannot do it if he is laying straight (vertical?!) all thanks to the changing table.

Our changing pad is on our dresser. If I'm too lazy to take the kids upstairs, I'll change them downstairs on the floor.

just got rid of DD's changing table (she's 10.5 months) b/c we wanted more room. I kept the pad and we change her on our bed now.

I have a dresser that I use as a changer- I have a changing pad on there.
She is squirmy now, but I hold her down pretty well! Chat Icon

Usually the changing table, sometimes on the floor, but now when I tell her lets change your diaper she will run into her room to the changing table.

I still use changing pad on dresser but now I have to give him a small toy in order to distract him.
