Which Digital Camera do you recommend?
That is affordable but that it takes great pics.
it's for a christmas gift for my mom and her husband and for me and my husband.

DH got me the Casio - EXILIM 7.2MP Digital Camera from Best Buy. I believe the model # is: EX-Z77WE. It has 7.2 mega pixels.
I love it.
ETA: I believe it was under $200

i dont have any specific recommendations, but Canon, Nikon and Olympus are really some of the best brands and you probably can't go wrong with any of them, imo.
I had a Sony Cybershot and honestly was not a fan of it. There was a really bad delay when taking pics (maybe it wasn't super long, but long enough that i missed SO many pics b/c of it) and i know others that complained of that as well. That model was from a few years ago so maybe they tweaked it, but i just think that those brands listed above- their main market it cameras, and they do it right.

Canons are great too. I love the elphs for a simple point and shoot... got 2 of those.
Am looking at buying another Canon camera - the Canon EOS 40D SLR.
You may want to take a look at the Elphs, Rebels or the EOS in order of cost...

I was just looking at the Sony Cyber Shot 8.1 MP. I was debating whether I should get it or not. Now I am thinking twice about it. I was looking for a camera that didn't have such a delay. I have an older Sony and that's the problem with it. Hmmm I guess I can go back to my 2nd choice.

I hate my Cybershot for this exact reason. It's only 2 years old and we are looking to replace it already. I miss so many great shots with my DD

Consumer Reports has a good spread sheet that compares cameras by price and size and speed, etc.
I am looking at getting the Canon A710 based on the CR recommendations.

Thats my opinion too! I have the canon powershot SD900 digital elph 10 megapixel and i absolutly LOVE IT! It takes great pictures.
