Which type of car seat should I buy? Convertible or Booster?
My daughter is 2 1/2 and she weights 35 pounds and is 34 inches tall.
I'm confused on which car seat to get.

A seatbelt booster isn't recommended until 4ish, even if weight and height are met for the minimums. A convertible booster with harnass straps are the best way to go.

I bought this one at Target it is a convertible seat that then converts to a high back booster (you just remove the 5 point harness and start using the regular car seat belt). It was $100 and has good reviews. Jack is 2 1/2 and very skinny (25 lb) so he needs a convertible seat for a while and but Molly had outgrown the infant carrier and I needed to give her Jacks convertible seat. So now I have a seat for Jack that will last more than two years.

We have the Evenflo Triumph, it got very good ratings by Concumer reports. The price ranges from $100-125.

I agree totally. stay in the harness as long as possible.
I have the triumph but neither of my boys is in it, the baby will get it very soon. I feel like my boys outgrew it. they are about 36-37inches and about 32lbs. maybe its just meet but I feel like the triumph is outgrown sooner than it should be and my boys are not huge at all.
So the 2 converitbles that we have are
Eddie Bauer ($100 bought it online)
and the Apex 65. ($130 at BRU)
very happy with them both.
