Re: Who lives in Queens and commutes to NYC?
I lived in North Flushing/border Bayside, LIRR was about 20 minutes to Penn.
However b4 the LIRR I used to take a bus to Main Street (20 min) & then the 7 train to the 1 train
Total=an hour & 15 minutes (Ridiculous)

When we lived in Glendale and I was working in mid-town I would take the Express bus. LOVED it. The bus stop was less then 1 block from where we lived and was right across the street from my mid-town office.
I was born and raised in Glendale.
This has nothing to do with the OP, just sayin' is all.
yea, um, Glendale rules, we know

I lived on the Broadway stop (2 long blocks away) LOVED this neighborhood - we would be living her if we could afford to buy!

Re: Who lives in Queens and commutes to NYC?
When I lived in Queens before I got married, I lived in Middle Village. I would take the Q38 to 63rd Drive and then take the R ( i think ? its been so long!) to midtown. My commute was about an hour - not bad. In MV depending on where you live you can also take the Q29 to Woodhaven Blvd/ Queens Center Mall.

One of the things I liked about Glendale is it's close to Maspeth which has Maspeth Pizza

Re: Who lives in Queens and commutes to NYC?
DH use to commute from N. Flushing to 56th & 6th. For a long time he drove in and it was about 30 minutes in the morning and then about 45minutes at night. Then he took the LIRR which was a 3 block walk from his aprt. to the Main St. station. I think it was about 25 minutes on that and then he took the subway. I know someone who took the express bus in the same area and it took them about 45 minutes to an hour.

Re: Who lives in Queens and commutes to NYC?
We used to live in Forest Hills on 71st Ave. We were 1.5 blocks to the E/F. I would take the F at 71st and be in my office on 50th St. usually under 30 min. It was an awesome commute!

Re: Who lives in Queens and commutes to NYC?
I live in bayside. I really like it here but there's no subways, just express buses and the LIRR. However, the LIRR is only a 25 minute ride into penn station, which is pretty sweet.
