whole wheat / multigrain pasta
I'm trying to eat better, but I'm confused as to which type of spaghetti / noodles to buy. I'm a picky eater, but working on it... (I'm not eating a ton of pasta, but when I do eat it, I want to eat something better than the white stuff)
I bought Barilla Plus Multigrain angel hair pasta, but then I read it may not be as good as regular whole wheat pasta - that it still has refined flour in it, etc.
It actually tasted so good that I had to look it up to see if it wasn't good for you after all!
Help! I'm not sure what to look for on the labels!
Thanks.

I like the healthy harvest pasta for spaghettis/linguine and I buy the Barilla plus for Penne, Rigatoni type. IMO buying either type is better for you than the regular white types.

Barilla plus does have refined white flour in it, but it also has many other nutrients and a lot more fiber than regular pasta. It is NOT the same as whole wheat, though.

Re: whole wheat / multigrain pasta
Okay, so... if I'm interpreting correctly:
Barilla Plus is better than the regular white stuff, but whole wheat is better.
Okay... I will finish off this box and then try the whole wheat. Maybe this will be a good "transition" pasta!

I buy the Barilla Plus...I actually think it tastes better than regular pasta. I like to go to Fairway and get their whole wheat ravioli's!!

I buy Dreamfields. It's low carb, not whole wheat.

Re: whole wheat / multigrain pasta
mulitgrain has some white flour in it, whole wheat is all brown/whole wheat flour and it's better for you
