It really worries and scares me reading some of these comments. Do we believe in a political party so blindly that we’re unable to even consider the slightest idea that maybe, mayyyyybe there can be something wrong? Do we believe so intensely in our aligned political party that they can do no wrong? Ever? And going by some of the comments in this thread, it does come across as their political party is completely trustable, transparent, and proceeds with the only desire of helping their people. Some are accusing others of belonging to a cult, being brainwashed when in reality they’re acting exactly the same way. This mentality is pretty alarming and I really hope no one ever puts all their faith into a political party. Always be skeptic even when they’re promising u the moon and the stars.

No one has said anything about thinking the Dems are perfect.

I and many others have stated that Biden is not a perfect candidate. There is no perfect candidate.

Biden is a centrist. To think any of us think he's promising the moon and stars is laughable. There are things missing in his platform that I would like to see, but there are many fires to put out right now and battles to be fought later.

Trump is the national emergency that we need to get RID of. NOW.

And frankly? Right now there is only one side acting like a total asshole.

"STOP THE COUNT" where they're ahead. "COUNT THOSE VOTES" where they're behind. Pounding on the doors of polling sites. Those poor poll watchers scared to go to their cars. The President being repudiated by his OWN PARTY - lapdog loyalists (Rick Santorum) finally turning on him, refusing to corroborate his total nonsense.

Trump is acting like the worst kind of child. He's a stain on the history of this country. A fool. An ignoramus. The worst kind of hypocrite. A failed leader. A vile human being.

The sooner he goes away, the sooner we can heal and work to prevent another version of him.

Agreed! It's always been tauted you can't trust ANYONE in politics so how people are unabashedly loyal to a political party without even considering the other side at all is bewildering.

What is going on with the election is not unexpected. We knew there was going to be problems with the early voting and mail in votes. Don't tell me for if the situations were reversed, the Dems wouldn't be calling for an investigation. Much more eloquently and properly of course but they would still be crying foul. This sh!t show is going to go on for several weeks, at least.

Not supporting the president doesn't mean you don't accept the results of an election that at this point is ancient history. The ONLY people that continually bring up the 2016 election is Trump and his cult. Weird how you guys can't let it go, Dems were looking ahead to 2018 and 2020 the minute the last election ended.

Hmmm so impeachment wasn’t part of that not accepting and wanting him to get out before 4 years?

Who's nervous for tomorrow's outcome?

Prior to the election with Hillary, trump repeatedly warned that "illegals" would vote and that if he lost, that is why. He won.

Hillary didn't immediately cast doubt and call it a sham and fraud before votes were even finished. She didn't declare herself a winner without all votes in. She accepted it. There weren't any recounts requested by her.

If you like trump, fine. But you know, I know, we all know that he is doing what he does best. He lies and casts doubt and runs with wild shit. His followers eat it up while the rest of us sit and shake our heads.

This isn't the first time.

-Just like Obama wasn't a real citizen
-or that Ted Cruz's dad was a killer and was linked to Kennedy's assination
-questioning the authenticity of the Access Hollywood tape
-That Joe Scarborough killed an intern
-That his wires were tapped by Obama
-That the noise from windmills cause cancer
-Climate change was invented by China
-Vaccines causing autism
-That Bill and Hillary were part of assination plots

This is just another one to add to the list.

No. Impeachment was because he committed treason.

It's all in a very quietly released report from late summer by the REPUBLICAN led Senate Intelligence committee detailing all the collusion.

I have posted it elsewhere.

And I have gotten sucked in again. I need to stick to just not engaging because it's just not worth it.

Not only was his impeachment well deserved, he absolutely should've been removed from office but since McConnell is a POS, the lawless maniac remained in office.

We also have two Propositions on the back of the ballot that everyone should vote on.

yes important ones to me.

Where can we find what the outcome of those local questions are!?? That's what I'm having trouble finding results for...

I can't find it, either. I think it will wind up on this page, but I don't know when...

https://www.suffolkcountyny.gov/Departments/BOE/Election-Results

https://apps2.suffolkcountyny.gov/boe/eleres/20ge/index.html
They're calling it the "unofficial results", but at this point, I don't see the numbers changing much.

This is the Board of Elections page, where the official results will be posted.

Dems did not contest the 2016 election. So there goes your theory. The reason people protest his presidency is because he's utter garbage and so are his followers and they've turned our country into the United States of Racism (to put it lightly).

And I'm only a registered Democract so I can vote in primaries but I'm a big bad scary leftist who wants to give you healthcare, legalize pot, free college, and have the wealthy pay their long overdue debt to the lower and middle classes.

THIS is the reason we are divided. You are talking out of both sides of your mouth when you don't like how this man speaks but you are doing it yourself? You don't find that hypocritical? Chat Icon

Yes have fun with your "free" stuff. Also have fun when our gas prices are $5 and your investments and retirement dwindle down and terrorists come back.

Valentine-you’re giving her too much credit. She’s probably drowning in debt and has little invested, if anything, due to poor life choices. That’s why she’s OK with spending other people’s money.

Don't tell me for if the situations were reversed, the Dems wouldn't be calling for an investigation. Much more eloquently and properly of course but they would still be crying foul. This sh!t show is going to go on for several weeks, at least.

" The reason people protest his presidency is because he's utter garbage and so are his followers "

It is scary for people who have saved and scrimped for years and were finally doing well as they don't get what socialism is.

Harris spouted out how they are going to have FREE college. Have fun with that. It will be free when you are THERE and who do you think will pay for that "FREE" college, ummm the people who go and get out, graduate, think they were going to get good paying jobs and all their taxes will go to pay for this "free" college.

Re: Who's nervous for tomorrow's outcome?

People who hate "socialism" obviously also want to eliminate the entire Police department, and our entire Military, since they are socialist programs.
I'm often amazed how many trump supporters openly admit that they not only want to defund the Police, but they adamantly want to completely eliminate them. Everyone should just fend for themselves. Why take taxes to pay for something that benefits everyone. *I* haven't had to call the Police yet, so why should I pay for it.

.... *or*.... people don't know what "socialism" really is....

Many? You are lumping a large portion of people. You know many Trump supporters who have told you this? That is really sad as people I know who are and who are not Trump supporters do not feel this way.

You do see how socialist countries work, right? You are ok living like that?

You're a perfect brainwashed example of why it's imperative that Trump is out of the WH.

This topic was about who was nervous, and I said I was feeling good. Now, I am feeling great!

Biden will address covid so that lives may be saved and life as we knew it can be restored sooner. No hostile, triggered people will dictate to him and make him abandon science.

Biden will pour resources into curing cancer(s).

Biden will restore other countries' belief in the U.S. as a viable force in the world.

Biden will work to help bring about racial and social justice.

And that's just off the top of my head. We will have hope and leadership, and I, for one, am excited about an even better future.

There’s a stark difference between social programs and government-wide socialism in practice. Don’t get it twisted.

Not sure what Trump supporters you fraternize with but I have never heard ONE insist on defunding the police or military. That’s patently insane.

Sounds lovely, like it's almost too good to be true.Chat Icon

If people deny science now, they aren't going to change just because Biden is President. I can't even wrap my head around that statement. As a country, that is the least of our issues right now. Whether people believe in Science or not. There has always been conspiracy theorists and extremists and there always will be.

Who's nervous for tomorrow's outcome?

Police, Military, Social Security, Healthcare, Education.... all social programs, which is what Democrats want. Therefore, if someone says they don't want the Dem's "socialism", they hyperbolically don't want any of the above.
.... or they like social programs, and therefore are OK with at least the ideas that the Dems want, and may just disagree on the implementation.
... or it could be that the "anti-socialism" people are twisting what socialism means, and what social programs are.

I was not speaking to 2016; I was speaking to the present day. What I'm saying is that there is so much room for fraud and interference given the early voting and many more mail in votes that, I believe (and you certainly don't have to agree with me) that whoever was going to lose was going to cry foul. If there had been a landslide for Trump, you don't think the Dems would have been calling for an investigation?

And FTR, just because I said I'm a Republican does not mean I do not agree with some leftist viewpoints. Believe it or not, you CAN walk the line. I, too, believe in equality, that we should have a solid and affordable health care plan, that pot should be legal and the wealthy pay their fair share. So whether you like it or not, we aren't that different. Although I don't think college should be a tax payer burden as not everyone elects to go to college; however, I do think there should be affordable caps placed on tuition.

Our leadership and policies will bend toward science and equality. And away from what the past four years have been about.

That's enough to make me ecstatic. And all the online nasty noise in the world can't change that. Chat Icon
