Isn't this exactly what we expected to happen? Trump spent months telling his supporters not to use mail in ballots. Now we're supposed to be shocked that he's not getting mail in voters and call foul about it? I don't think so.
This. 100%
Plus, do people really oppose mail in voting? Do they really think that those who are too disabled or too high risk for that pesky global pandemic we are being told to ignore as it kills us and our economy SHOULDN'T get to participate in our democracy?
Not to mention people whose work schedules or travel necessities prohibit going out and waiting on line for several days. Or many other categories of deserbing people. It's lunacy.
I love the way there are actual attorneys that seem to be arguing that vote counting needs to stop in certain places, but continue in others. It'll be interesting to see whose credibility and reputations remain intact when this is over.
Because in some areas, just heard but sorry did not hear what state, they can count until the 13th. There is no reason it should take 10 days to count votes and if it does, then things need to change that ballots need to be in a week earlier than the election. Start the process earlier then as with this year at least, most people knew who they were voting for way before election day.
I’m sure if that was the case then Trump would’ve claimed that they dumped these “extra ballots” prior to election day. No matter what the situation he will find a way to throw a tantrum.

Whatever it may be, it seems the system is not working and if it was Biden I am sure their team would say the same thing.

First, I am cautiously optimistic. Many experts and media are predicting Biden to take PA and still will likely take AZ and NV. Fingers crossed. Even though these are tight races the Dems are still favored to win this. Hopefully by the weekend we can FINALLY call Trump a "lame duck" and Biden, Mr. President-Elect.
Second, there is NO voter fraud, everything is being counted fairly and ANY commentary opposite that is NOTHING more than Trump propaganda and brainwashing. There is nothing abnormal about this election and we will know the results soon. I think Trump's election tantrums coupled with his insistence he's already won while crying about the ballots and filing lawsuits does nothing but delegitimize our election system. As always, he can't be told NO or that he LOST something. He will drag this country through effing hell before January 20th because like everything, it ALL has to be about him.
Lastly, if this election has taught me anything it's that SO many Americans are dumb as hell when it comes to even a basic understanding of the electoral college and how the election process actually works. I am literally embarrassed for people when I read their ignorant, misguided and completely wrong comments. People don't have a single clue. Voter registration should come with an IQ test attached. lol
I am just sitting tight, staying hopeful and waiting (not so) patiently for Biden to take us to 270!!
Sorry but anyone who doesn't believe there is voter fraud in any election, is dumb as hell. Whoever wins we can onlyhope it is square and fair. Be ready for the first woman president as that is what will come next if he is determined president. That scares me more than having him or Trump in office, honestly.
How many times do Trump supporters need to be told that elections are NOT fraudulent. There has NEVER in the history of our election been a case of fraudulence, especially one that has affected the outcome of an election.
Now, it's possible that there is some level of human error because no system is perfect however, the system is NOT fraudulent. Stop whining about an election that is being properly run like EVERY SINGLE ELECTION BEFORE IT.
Read up and educate yourself, understand how virtually impossible it would be to pull off fraudulent voting in an election.
As far as Kamala, I would have NO issue with a woman POTUS. She is intelligent, strong and qualified.
READ UP - VOTING
You are smarter than that
I have no issue with an woman POTUS also, not her and not the way they are getting her in just to get a woman in.
This mythological, evil, plotting "they" aren't doing anything. Biden just picked a running mate you don't like so you're whining and tossing around nonsense conspiracy theories to fuel your argument. It's ridiculous.

Well some states allow ballots to be post marked on election day. Mail these days can take a week unfortunately. Some states allow military absentee ballots to come in late. Every state is allowed to make their own rules. Isn't that one of the main beliefs of the republican party?

You keep saying Harris is scary but maybe I missed why?
Also, the Trump administration spent 4 years trying to prove widespread voter fraud and came up with nothing.
No, there actually WAS attempted Federal offence voter fraud...
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/jun/03/donald-trump-vote-by-mail-fraud-florida
It was a paperwork issue, where his address wasn't updated, but still.... trump tried to commit voter fraud.

When she asked for it in WI, Trump actually had more votes. You just never know.

Re: Who's nervous for tomorrow's outcome?
With margins this close I would expect either side to want recounts and file law suits. If when everything is counted and Trump wins will Biden supports be ok with it? If it is a win by fractions of a percent? No. They will want recounts. The will file law suits. They would want to see if there was fraud. I do wish we had a streamlined national process. I don't have an issues with Absentee voting since those ballots are requested. I have an issue with sending blanket ballots out. There is fraud in every election. Dead people that vote, people that vote using other peoples names, ballots getting dumped in the garbage. It happens.
I have looked at my investments, my 401k and my kids 529's. I have changed some things around to more stable funds. II made sure my savings is sound in case one of us loses a job. I expect that the market will have a downturn and that layoffs will be looming.
I worry about having another lockdown which will kill the economy and small businesses and schools going full-remote which is not good for my kids mental health.
If it is Biden, I do hope that he makes it 4 years and I hope he does well. Hoping for anything else is crazy (although we have just watched people do it for 4 years). My guess is he will be declared unfit by his own party early on and Kamala will be president.

Trump can request a recount too. I don't think anyone has a problem with that. However, people need to let the ballots be counted completely the first time before we get to that.

The difference today is the tangerine nightmare claimed victory LOOONG before the votes were in, he immediately started filing lawsuits crying fraud because the cheater won't accept a loss AND he's demanded ballot counting stop because in his tiny brain he INSISTS that a winner be declared on Election Night. He's just butt hurt because he knows he's losing and couldn't throw his ego stroking election party Tuesday night.
If the margins aren't tight enough, a recount is a waste of everyone's time. In some states, he'll also have to pony up cash to cover the cost of a recount and since his campaign is broke, good luck with that.

Re: Who's nervous for tomorrow's outcome?
EDIT: for some reason my post did not quote properly. This is meant to address valentinebaby’s Reply to Hofstra about being more scared to have the first female president (she is still convinced this is all a ruse to get Harris in as president) that having either male candidate.
I am sorry but WHAT?? First of all the whole “Biden is a shill for Harris” is a big reach and more right wing conspiracy crap.
Second, having a woman in office scares you? Please explain your logic. Women have been successfully leading countries for years and it is actually shameful that the US is so behind the times with regards to this.

Can't give you enough applause for your post

HRC requested a recount in 2016. No different than today.
Trump can request a recount too. I don't think anyone has a problem with that. However, people need to let the ballots be counted completely the first time before we get to that.
they only just got the paperwork to do that so I am assuming they have. Would have to look at the percentage that state or states are at.

Whatever it may be, it seems the system is not working and if it was Biden I am sure their team would say the same thing.
This is how the system has always been and the system is working fine. Nobody is complaining about the system except Trump and his sheeple.
Again, HRC had the votes recounted in WI and they found more votes for Trump back in 2016. Trump is not the only one who doesn't trust the system.
Again, requesting a recount is fine. Suing, tweeting out "stop the count" and crowds of armed people outside election sites yelling to be let in are not okay imo.

Well some states allow ballots to be post marked on election day. Mail these days can take a week unfortunately. Some states allow military absentee ballots to come in late. Every state is allowed to make their own rules. Isn't that one of the main beliefs of the republican party?
Ding ding ding!! We have a winner here!! Either states have autonomy across the board or they don’t. Can’t pick and choose

This! I want to know why a woman leading the country is so scary. I’ve been very happy with the woman Chancellor here.

Right now the only armed mobs and protests are coming from the right, so, tell me again how Dems are inciting violence and attempting to stop the election?

Counts should not be stopped, I agree. They should be allowed to watch though if it is something that has always been allowed. Are you really comparing yelling to setting cities on fire though and violence, something that has happened last night in many cities?

Have you watched the news today? There was one right in NYC that they showed on News12 this morning. Other ones shown on other news stations in other states, all anti-Trump.
