Well, while I would LOVE a family shoot, I'm going to go in a different direction (and not sure this is even an option)
I would absolutely love to do a boudoir shoot for my DH. Just me, and I would probably do it at our home on LI. He is turning 40 in less than a year, and we are celebrating our seventh wedding anniversary. This would be an amazing gift for him.
Throughout our 13 years together, through weight gains and losses, gravity , a twin pregnancy with resulting c-section scar and stretch marks, he has always always made me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. He is under so much pressure and does so much for everyone, me, our kids, his family, his friends and his job that I would love to give him something that's just for him. He has mentioned that he loves the idea of boudoir photos but I never had the courage or confidence to do it. After having my boys I realized life is too short to worry about looking perfect before doing something like this.
i love this what a great and thoughtful idea!!!! obviously i hope to win but if i dont id love to see you win this one!
Thank you so much!!! I am just thinking about it.

Re: Win a free photo session from Lexi-Bella Photography!
I love Love LOVE the Fire Island Lighthouse and the beach that is with it (although it is a nude beach, we never go nude). There is something so relaxing about watching the sun come up or go down over there is almost magical. When my DH was deployed I would walk down there every morning with DS and just think the sun was going down by me but coming up by him. Also knowing that the same sky I was looking at he'd be looking at later that day made it feel a little less far away. Some how it's just peaceful!!!!!

Re: Win a free photo session from Lexi-Bella Photography!
I am truly torn between wanting an outdoor shoot at our home and one at Oheka Castle. Our home has brought us so much joy and we just recently welcomed our daughter Elena into this world and would love to capture our family in their natural environment.
Oheka Castle is a spectacular location with history and elegance! A true monument of Long Island in my eyes and truly an amazing location for a photo shoot!

Re: Win a free photo session from Lexi-Bella Photography!
It is hard to pick one place!!! I think I would say Shelter Island-we used to have the most amazing time at Sunset Beach with the top down on the car when we lived in the Hamptons. We made the decision to TTC there August 2008 and it is special because our DD was born a week ago after a long road! I would want a shoot with my new little family as it would be DD's first time there!
I miss home

Re: Win a free photo session from Lexi-Bella Photography!
So tough to pick just one place. My first thought might be Hofstra. On our first date (June 2000) after the movie was over we went there, walked around, sat by the football field where the lion statues are outside. Mike and I both graduated from there. But Im not sure when all their tulips come out which would really be needed for the backdrop.
My choice would be Old Westbury Gardens where our wedding photos were taken after the church ( November 2004). Since it was cold we never got back into the gardens - including the pond area which i love, and there wasnt much color around. Spring would be perfect since our son's first birthday is next month - April 22nd. Included would be me, my husband & Kyle. And I would like to include my husbands parents, grandparents. They have been so supportive of us through the ups and downs in the first two pregnancies that didnt make it. They were there for us when Kyle was in the icu, and we have a tradition of meeting up together at church each weekend and having brunch. I have been truely blessed to have such wonderful family and would love a photo shoot to capture the memories.
one of my wedding pictures from old westbury gardens.

Re: Win a free photo session from Lexi-Bella Photography!
Honestly, I would love a beautiful outdoor shoot with me, my DH and daughter. All of out photo shoots have been so "studio-ized" if that is even a word. I would love to feel free and natural in a beautiful environment. Now I am a Brooklyn girl, but I know a little bit about LI places, the vineyards and wine country and I think that would be such a beautiful location for a photo shoot. Oh, I can just imagine it now--especially in the summer time.
If the vineyards were not possible, I would love to do a beach shoot on Long Beach. Oh, it's so nice there...

Who My Daughter, husband and myself with a Surfboard
Where Robert Moses Beach
Why My younger brother passed away unexpectedly a couple of years ago. We did his service there, and every year we do a paddle out in his memory. It is a place that brings a lot of peace to our family, and lots of memories of our family all together. My DD is the only one of his Nieces & Nephews, he didn't get to meet.

I would love to have a session with DS at The Animal Farm Petting Zoo in Manorville. They have all kinds of awesome animals (especially baby animals), fun old time rides, a picnic area, and a playground. I especially love this place because they are first and foremost a rescue and the business aspect is secondary. We have 4 rescue animals of our own and I hope that when DS gets a little older it will be an important cause to him as well. Animal Farm Petting Zoo in LI

I would choose Arglye Lake in Babylon also. I have always loved this park from the time I was a child and visited all the time with my parents. I now live close by and have walked around the lake probably 2-3 times a week for the past 5 years or so. I had fertility problems and it took a very long time and finally IVf to conceive DS. Sometimes it was very difficult to walk around the park because there are always tons of moms pushing their strollers. On particularly bad days I cried as I walked thinking that I would never get the chance to push my own baby stroller around the lake.
When I finally got pregnant I did a hypnobirthing program in preparation for labor. One component of the program was finding your "special place" to go to in your mind to help keep your body relaxed. Argyle Lake was my place and I visualized being there with my baby to keep me focused during labor. The first time I brought DS with me to walk around the lake I cried. It was so emotional to have him there with me. I would love to have pictures of my son and I in our "special place".
That brought tears to my eyes. I am so glad your got your wish. Thank goodness for IVF

My favorite place on Long Island has got to be a beach house on Fire Island. This house was built by my great grandparents over 50 years ago and has been in my family since. It has a lot of memories and it is a very beautifully peaceful place to be. Image Attachment(s):

Re: Win a free photo session from Lexi-Bella Photography!
I would love to do a photo shoot in Montauk
Montauk was an important place for both mine and DH's families. We would spend summers there with families, friends, etc.
I always get Seamus' pictures done by himself. I have looked back at the pictures I have and he is 20 months now and I have so few pictures of the 3 of us. It makes me sad to think I dont have that many. I would love these pictures to be done for me and DH and Seamus.
Seamus still has yet to meet him Oma - his 95 year old great grandmother who lives in Florida. I would love to have these pictures done and send them to her.

I would do a family shoot at the Nunley's Carousel. Nunley's was so special to me as a child for a lot of personal reasons - it was a place my grandparents took my brothers & I often. It would mean a lot to me to have a professional shoot with my boys.

If I won a free photo session and could shoot anywhere on Long Island, I would have to choose Brookwood Hall Park in East Islip. Why, because it's a place we've been going since we're kids. It's very simple yet picturesque with bendy sideways trees, a small waterfall, stream with walk bridge and a lake with ducks, geese and swans and it's local for my whole family to be in the same place at one time. I would have photos taken for my mom, of her 9 grandchildren ranging in age from 8 months to 15 years (and maybe seperates of each family). We finally got together and took some pictures a year before my son, Nolan, was born so she's requested a new one!
Here's what we got in 2008 (minus Nolan)!

Re: Win a free photo session from Lexi-Bella Photography!
I would absolutely love to have family photos with my husband and new daughter at the Historical Thatched Cottage in Centerport. This place has so much significance to us, and it is absolutely beautiful.
We searched high and low for the perfect place to get married on the water. We fell in love with the Thatched Cottage and brought our parents to see it. They loved it. I have a tendency to doubt myself, and my father insisted that I trust my instincts and book it. We did in April '07.
My father passed away of a sudden heart attack on August 13th, 2007. Just months after booking our wedding. He was only 59 in perfect health, and it was such a shock and the hardest thing I ever had to deal with.I can go on forever, but I will TRY to keep this as brief as possible.
Our wedding date was set for July 13th, 2008. It is Jewish custom that you never cancel a wedding because of a death. We weren't going to cancel the wedding, the one thing I was sure of was that I did want to marry my husband, but we weren't sure if we still wanted the big fancy wedding party. At that time, it seemed that all the wedding planning was frivolous. But, the craziest thing was that our wedding date was set for EXACTLY 11 months after my father's death - which in the Jewish faith marks the end of the mourning period. It was as if my father wanted us to have the wedding as planned.
The staff and owners of the Thatched Cottage were wonderful to us, and let us take our time to decide what we wanted to do. We ultimately had our fairy tale wedding, and I know my dad was there.
Last year, on July 13, 2009, we celebrated our first wedding anniversary with dinner on the grounds of the Thatched Cottage. I was pregnant with my daughter. I would love to bring her there for our second wedding anniversary and have our family photos taken.
Sorry that was so long, but I really wanted to tell the story about why this place is so precious to us.
ETA: I've been trying to add pictures - They are too large and I cannot figure out how to fix it.

Re: Win a free photo session from Lexi-Bella Photography!
"If you won a free photo session, and they could shoot it anywhere on Long Island, where would it be, why, and for whom?”
where: Planting Fields Arboretum!
why: (This is probably going to be one of the weirdest reasons you receive.) My mom was and I still am, addicted to ABC's "All My Children". A few years ago 2 characters on the show got married on location at the Planting Fields and my mom fell in love with the place. I wanted to have my engagement pics in 2008 and maternity pics in 2009 there but the weather was bad for both! I think it would be a fitting tribute to my mom who passed away this past Sept from lung cancer. She never got to see the place or her grandson, I was 28 wks pregnant at the time of her death. youtube of the AMC wedding... lol
whom: The family of course! Me, DH and DS.

For my family..Probably on a beach....any beach really. With DH and DD...since the beach is a place we all love.
Otherwise, anywhere that our family photo could be done since we dont have to many of them....it doesnt really matter the place its all about the memories you make taking them there :)
If I could take family pictures with my parents, DH & DD..that would be priceless...my father is battleing cancer for the 3rd time in his life and this one is really just taking a toll on him as well as all of us...so family photos would be extremely special right now

If I was to win a photo session with you guys. I would love take our maternity pictures with my husband and my little maltese at de serversky in old Westbury. It is an old Mansion on the gold coast that many people have never heard of it. It is breathtaking! My husband and I got married there and our pictures came out wonderful.
