Wisdom tooth extraction-DENIED
So I went to the dentist today to have my wisdom tooth pulled (as many of you already know) and he told me hes against it even though my OB Gyn gave the approval for it. He said its best to wait until the 2nd trimester but best to wait until after pregnancy. Ugh, anyone ever go through this? At the moment the tooth is not giving me that much trouble but Im afraid that it will get worse. We'll see I guess...

I also have wisdom teeth issues and am waiting until after I deliver.
Typically, hormones make my wisdom teeth flare up, but I am 35 weeks and no problems yet. Hopefully you make it to the end pain free!

Wow, Im glad that it hasnt caused you any problems. Ive had this cavity for a year now and it hasnt gotten that bad Im just afraid that with pregnancy it will flare up...well, one day at a time I guess

I had a tooth pulled - but waited until my second trimester- The oral surgeon wasn't at all bothered by my pregnancy - he would have knocked me out, but I refused. He was even pushing Vicadon and I wouldn't take it... Sorry you are going through this frustration

i think some dentists are more hesitant than ob/gyn's because pregnancy is not their area of expertise, and there's all the blood hungry lawyers out there waiting to sue 
hope it stays status quo for you!
