wondering...SAHM's what time does your DH get home from work?
sorry for another SAHM post...
i am not a SAHM but will be til december 1st. DH gets home 7:30 pm or later. early for him is 7 pm. a lot of my SAHM friends have DH's who get home by 4pm or 5pm. i do envy that to be honest. the day seems so long waiting for DH to come home!

mine works a lot.
he either leaves here at 8 AM and works till 9:30, home at 10.
or leaves here at 2 PM, works till 2:30 AM, home at 3 AM.
on his days off he sells air conditioners.

It varies - he is on call 24/5.
Last night, he got home at 9:30p, the day before it was 4:30p (but he was on the phone for work for another couple of hours). Tonight, he's hoping he'll be home by 10p. What stinks is that I can never plan to go anywhere without DD unless I have a babysitter backup.

Wow, what do these guys do that they get home at 4 or 5? DH needs to get in on that!
Lately, he gets home between 8 and 9--7:30 is early for him. He leaves around 7 am. It's a long day for me, but it is for him also. I mostly feel bad for DS--there are a lot of days when he doesn't see Dad at all.

i know right!? well, some of them are teachers or own their own business so that accounts for the time. but i see by these responses that DH does not get home that late after all! makes me feel a little better. thanks for your responses!

An early night is about 7:30. Normally its after 9. It's always been like that and doens't really bother me.... except when I want to head out with the girls

If he doesn't have clients to entertain, he gets home around 5:30/6:00. But at least 2 days a week he gets home late (last night 9:30) and he also golfs with clients on the weekends a lot...it sucks, but I look at it as I don't have to cook when he isn't home.

 glad I could make you feel better.
mine is in restaurants. So if he works in the AM, he stays till the dinner crowd is gone. If he works later in day, he stays till closing.
he's 2 promotions away from making his own hours. one day it will all pay off.
I plan nothing around this guy at all.
The side AC thing, he wanted to give sales a whirl. I offered to wait tables on his nights off, but he wanted his days off to try this.

DH works from 6:30 am gets home at 3:30 pm. We have dinner then and then he leaves for his second job at 4:30 pm. He works there until 1 am. then it starts all over again at 6:30 am

7:45 would be an earlier day but he can work as late as midnight. During the week DS doesn't see him at night.

I work from 7am to 4:30pm, so I'm home between 5:15 and 5:30 most days. I'm not a morning person, so 7am is very early for me, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make to have more time with my family in the evenings.

Earliest is 7:10. Average is 7:40. Bad nights can be anytime from 7:40-11. On very bad nights he comes home late and works at home 
It is a very long day. But, we have sort of adjusted it so DS still sees DH and we still eat together - 75% of the time. DS just goes to bed later and wakes up later than a lot of other kids. I would never want him to not spend time with DH every day!
ETA: he leaves b/f 7am 90% of days.

DH gets home most nights between 7 and 8. On slower days he might get home at 645. It does make the day seem much longer. Dh often brings work home with him though - so he eats dinner with us then disappears to do work for the next day frequently.

Yes, teaching would do it. I thought of that right after I posted--one of our neighbors is a teacher and he's home with the kids late afternoon most days.
It would be nice, but then DH wouldn't make the same income and I couldn't be a SAHM. So nothing is perfect I guess.

He leaves the house around 7:45 am.
He gets home any time from 6:00-7:00 on average. There are a few late nights a month where he can work much later. I hate those because DS is asleep when he gets home

My husband usually gets home around 3:30-4pm, leaves between 5:45 and 7 depending on the day. He works 6 days a week though, and 10 minutes from home, so it works out.

From Jan-April it can be after 8PM.
If its the beginning or end of a month, same thing.
His hours are "Supposed" to be 9-530, but, that never ever ever happens..

he's in sales so it varies. Some days he is home early (but then does work in his home office) while some nights he has to go to dinners & meetings til 10-11pm. And there is overnight traveling about every other month.
