WONT SLEEP IN BASSINET!!
DD # 2 wont sleep in the bassinet at night. She seems to only get a good nights sleep if she is in the swing or in the car seat. (4-5 hours wakes for a bottle then sleeps another 4-5 hours). In the bassinet she will only sleep 30 minutes to and hour before getting fussy. I know she is only 4 weeks old but DD#1 slept 9 hours straight through at 3 weeks in the bassinet. I tried swaddling but she is a little Houdini and even with arms down she manages to get out. Got a wedge positioner and she slides down because she moves around quite a bit. Any advice on how I can get her to sleep in the bassinet??
ETA My concern also is that the position she is in when in the swing and car seat is going to cause some kind of permanent curve or damage to her spine down the line since she spends something like 18+ hours a day in them.

Does she have reflux?
The first 2 weeks she had a problem with the milk based formula so we have her on soy based (same problem we had with DD#1). She is all fine now, no spitting up or vomit like before. Dont see any signs of reflux...

Re: WONT SLEEP IN BASSINET!!
DS only slept in the swing for the first 3 months and he did not have reflux.
I think he felt snug in there as opposed to the bigger bassinet especially since he refused to be swaddled.

Re: WONT SLEEP IN BASSINET!!
DS also slept a lot in his swing, bouncy , and car seat when he was a newborn...She could have a bit of reflux and not have many symptoms. DS has reflux. I started to break the habit around 4 months and put him down for naps in his PNP. Within a couple of weeks, he was sleeping fine in his PNP....

Re: WONT SLEEP IN BASSINET!!
DS never slept in the bassinet. I wound up putting him on his tummy to sleep in the crib and he slept much better that way.

Re: WONT SLEEP IN BASSINET!!
clasc...i think at this age just let her sleep where she's comfortable. its more important that she sleeps instead of where she sleeps.
