worst mommy of the year award....goes...to Me!!!
I fell asleep waiting for my DD to fall asleep and forgot to leave $$ from the tooth fairy last night. My DH was quick to tell her that it was probably too late and didn't have time and we will have to put it out earlier again tonight! BUT I feel awful!!!

I did the same thing. She was actually crying the next day I just told her the tooth fairy was probably very busy and then my DH told her that he stayed up very late reading the night before so she probably saw the light on and passed us by. She was satisfied with that. Then she woke up to $5 under her pillow the next morning--it's usually $1--so she ended up a happy girl!

Aw. I know you feel awful, but she will be ok. Slip a 20$ under there tonight & take her to tru to pick something out. You will feel better. I still feel guilty over Halloween & not trick or treating during the Sandy aftermath. It is par for the course as a mom.

My sister hid her tooth under pillow without telling my mom. Then she was so disappointed the tooth fairy wasn't real when there was no $ under the pillow.
My mom opened the door out of our apartment and got a dollar from outside the door (really, her hand).
OBVIOUSLY, when we lock the door... No one can get in (not even a tooth fairy).

Don't feel bad, yesterday we ran into a little girl that my DD used to play with who told me the tooth fairy came to her aunts house bc she couldn't find hers.
