I agree with this. You can probably get AT&T to pay the fee if you can prove you will have to pay it.
Verizon service is overrated and expensive for what you get. I am not a huge fan of AT&T but I would definitely take them over Verizon.
AT&T has made a lot of service improvements over the past six months. It's way better now than it used to be.

I am! I've waited a long time and hopefully the fee isn't too bad but I finally got my iPhone for Christmas and tomorrow I will be canceling my verizon plan. I held out for a while hoping Verizon would get the iPhone but couldn't wait any longer. It's so worth it...I LOVE my iPhone!

I have NEVER had a problem with AT&T service and I have been with them for 10 years now.
I've gotta say that I am in LOVE with my iPhone.

I think it depends on the service is in your area with each carrier. DH and I have been with at&t for a few years now and where we are in NJ we have no problems with the service at all. There is only 1 area that I know of that DH looses his single on his way to work. My SIL lives in queens and works in Manhattan and went from Verizon to at&t for the iPhone and hates the service. Her calls get dropped a lot. I also have a friend that went from Verizon to at&t who lives in Commack and works in jericho. He gets service in his apartment with at&t and never did with verizon.
I would find out from people in your area how the service is and then decide.

I have an iphone for business and a regular phone for personal use, both with AT&T service and have never had a problem. I always have a signal, never had a call dropped, etc.
DH has an iphone also and has had AT&T for awhile now (starting when they were still Cingular) and has never had any issues.

I would only consider switching if I could get the other company to pay my cancellation fee. If they wouldn't do it.. I wouldn't be bothered with them.
