WW losing weight too fast?
joined WW less than week ago. already lost 5 lbs.
looking to lose 60 to 70 per my doc even though I think I will look too thin at that much weight loss but who knows
I know my body and I know I'm lucky that I can lose quickly once I'm focused.
wondering if anyone had similar experience. I would like to lose 7 lbs a week and eat veggies and fruits and lean protein. do you think I can do that if I work out like a nut?

Re: WW losing weight too fast?
the first 2 weeks, you'll be losing water weight. 5 lbs the first week is ok. they say the average weight loss is .5-2 lbs per week.

Re: WW losing weight too fast?
It is highly unlikely that you will lose 7 lbs a week consistently. It is more likely that you will see a couple of weeks of large losses then your body will slowly down a little bit. Generally the first couple of weeks you lose a lot of water weight. Research on weight loss has clearly shown that healthy lifestyle changes result in long term maintaince of weight loss. I would focus more on developing a healthy diet and exercise plan for yourself than trying to workout like crazy and risk injury. Set realistic monthly goals for yourself and try not to become obsessed with the scale.

I'm the opposite, I lose weight extreeeemely slowly.
I think you might lose 7 lbs. the first week or so, but after that it will slow down. 2-3 lbs. per week (at most!) is healthier & more realistic.

Re: WW losing weight too fast?
It will slow down .... As everyone says, you tend to lose water weight which makes for large scale losses. 7 lbs a week is not healthy long term...sorry. It didn't take you one day to gain weight so be patient whole losing! Good luck!

Re: WW losing weight too fast?
If you follow WW properly, it's designed so you lose 1-2 lbs a week. If you lose much more than that continually, they will tell you it's too much. It's supposed to be a slow process.

Re: WW losing weight too fast?
while i would love to loose 7lbs a week i dont think its possible.
I lost 5.7lbs my first week and i knew it was water weight. the 2 week i lost 3lbs, the 3rd week i only lost 1lb i was very disappointed. The next week i lost 2lbs which i was ok with.
I am trying to set a lose goal of 3lbs a week, if not 2lbs min.
If you end up loosing a lot fast please tell me how you do it
Also just so you know i read somewhere in the WW material you really are suppose to only have a max of 5 servings of fruit a day.

Re: WW losing weight too fast?
Unless you are extremely over weight most people don't lose 7lbs a week regularly . that is a pretty unrealistic #. 1-2 lbs a week is average.

Re: WW losing weight too fast?
Thank you for all the advice.
I'm impatient and have been weighing myself every day, which I know is not good to do.
I'm very...results-driven, KWIM? Once I see results, it further motivates me.

Look for results in other ways. Are you able to walk/run for longer or with more ease? Can you wear a pair of pants that you p reviouslyc ouldnt? Things like this help to show results as well!

Yes, you are right. My pants do feel looser. I think I am going to divert my attention to fitness and setting and meeting goals in that area, instead of just the number on the scale.
I see how easy it is to get caught up on a number!

totally---i can only recognize it because I am so guilty of it too. Having my own issues with that right now!
