WWYD: Flying with an infant
First off, a big thanks to all those who give advice with flying with a baby.
We're traveling with DS (10 months) on Sunday. 3 hr., nonstop flight to FL
Is it a horrible idea to give him a little infant Tyneol in his bottle to relax him and have him be sleepy on the plane? I'm NOT a fan of medicating kids unnecessarily but he is an active pre-toddler and sitting for 3+ hours seems so
Any advice?

wellllllllllllll...I have heard of them having the opposite reaction, and instead end up cranky and hyper. Just food for thought.
However, you may be surprised...some babies fall asleep right after the plane takes off! with the motion and the sound...sometimes it's like they think they are in a car. We lucked out that way.
If you chose to medicate a bit, you wouldn't be the first or the last. I *may* wanna try warm milk first and use it as an absolute last resort, though - but I'm not judging. It just may be harder to then transition your baby into being "up" for when the plane lands..which can be another pain in itself.
be sure your baby drinks and swallows during take off and landing..reduces pressure in their little ears

Re: WWYD: Flying with an infant
Honestly, I get the appeal, but I personally have never done it. We started flying when DS was 10 months old too, he's now 4. We go to Florida twice a year. And he's still not a great flyer, but we deal. We try to fly JetBlue so he has a TV/music. We bring LOTS of snacks, new toys, colring books, etc...

YUP happened to my Niece, she was sooo cranky...on the return flight my sis didn't give her anything and she was fine and slept most of the time.
